SCOUT NOTES
Hudson White, IF, Byron Nelson HS, 2021
Oklahoma State commit. We have seen white on multiple occasions where his all-around baseball tools show up consistently. The sophomore has arm strength, speed, power, and the ability to play multiple positions (IF/C/OF/P). On Friday, he was playing second base and hitting in the leadoff spot for the Bobcats. Went 2-for-4 with a couple singles and a 2 RBI. In his second AB he just missed hitting a grand slam as he ambushed a fastball to the deepest part of the ball park at Flower Mound and directly into a very stiff wind, settling for a sacrifice fly at the warning track. Starting from an open-crouched stance, the right-handed hitter has strong hands and creates a lot of lift with an upward path. Both his singled were to the pullside, he grounded out sharply to third base and walked in his first at-bat.
