Argyle vs. Decatur
April 17, 2019
DECATUR, TX - The Argyle Eagles, ranked No. 2 in the PBR Texas Power 25, traveled to Decatur for another contest against a highly touted left-hander. Last night was the second time that 2019 MLB Draft hopeful and Oklahoma State commit Bodi Rascon faced one of the top offenses in Texas.
Rascon faced the minimum through the first three innings recording two strikeouts in each of the his first two frame. The first two hits for Decatur opened up the bottom of the first, but Argyle starter Chad Ricker (UTSA) got a fly out and two strikeouts to end the threat.
Argyle got on the board in the fourth with an RBI single through the right side from Ricker, and added another run in the fifth when 2019 2B Preston King (UTRGV) doubled to right-centerfield. That score would hold up as both starters went the distance.
Final Score: Argyle 2, Decatur 0.

SCOUT NOTES
Bodi Rason, LHP, Decatur HS, 2019
Oklahoma State commit. Standing 6-foot-5, 200-pounds, with a long-limbed, uber projectable pitcher’s frame with plenty of room left to fill out, Rascon already looks the part of a Big12 weekend rotation arm. The left-hander works from a ¾ slot with a loose arm swing and low effort delivery. His fastball started out at 89-91 in the first, topping out at 92 mph.
