Team Summary
The expectations from last year to this year couldn't be different for Prosper Rock Hill. Last year was the Blue Hawks and Head Coach Shaun Stanton's 1st year as a Varsity Program, and they surprised some people by going 3 rounds deep before losing to district foe Lovejoy. This year they enter the season as a marked team with high expectations. You need some Firepower if you are going to make a deep run, and Rock Hill has 2022 RHP/CF Brenner Cox (Texas Commit) and 2023 RHP/MIF Uriah Walters (DBU Commit) to lead the way. Cox is a plus athlete who continues to get better and better. His fastball will run up to 93 and he also will run a 6.6 in the 60 as well. Walters anchors the Rock Hill defense on the infield, and has a powerful swing from the right side who has shown consistent pull side power in our viewings. Also leading the offense is Sr. Utility/RHP Brett Foss. He was last years District Newcomer of the Year. On the Mound, Stanton's Staff returns everyone. Cox, LHP Aidan Lamar, Walters, Foss, and 2023 OF/RHP Tyler Powers will look to build on last years success and make another jump. Rock Hill also has a good group of 2024's and 2025's to fill in the missing pieces needed. The Blue Hawks play a tough tournament schedule and are in a quality district. They will be battle tested for the Playoffs and look to take another step in 2022.
