After having a veteran-heavy team of 3-year lettermen in 2019 and a shortened season in 2020, Coach Kelly Mead returns three senior starters in 2021. Those three will be in the middle of the field with 2021 IF Riley Bender (Ablilene Christian signee) and 2021 IF Julian Rodriguez starting on the infield with Bender at 2B and Rodriguez at SS, and 2021 OF/LHP Connor Johnson in the outfield starting in CF. Behind the plate, Coach Mead will have 2021 C Jonathan Mendoza returning who started a few games in 2020. Also, keep an eye on 2024 IF Braelon Richardson in the years to come as the coaching staff is excited about his skills.
