Prep Baseball AAG Spotlight: RHP Cade Allen

MIAMI, FL - The second annual Prep Baseball All-American Game is set to take place at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins, in Miami, Florida on Saturday, September 14th. This year the top 2025's across the country will matchup with some of the top 2026's all in one spot.
For the 2024 Prep Baseball All-American Game, the state of Tennessee will have two players represent the 2026 Class. Today we will begin to spotlight those players as we lead up to the event.
First, we take a look at uncommitted RHP and the No. 3 player in the Tennessee 2026 Class, Cade Allen.

Scouting Report
Cade Allen, South Gibson County High School (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 5-11, 177-pounds. High waisted, leaner and athletic body. More to come.
Delivery: Easy and fliud motion into a very high leg lift, holds back hip as the body goes fron the top of leg lift. Elite seperation at footplant generating lots of power down the hill.
Arm Action: RH. Extremely fluid arm action, one of the top arm talents in the state works with a longer swing behind him to a high 3/4 release.
FB: T90, 86-89 mph. An incredibly easy high 80's that creeps towards the 9's. Gets on the hitters with some ASR. Is going to be a problem for opposing hitters for the next two years. T2362, 2173 average rpm.
SL: 73-76 mph. Plus shape and movement for the SL, spun very well and will miss bats a plenty. T2218, 2155 average rpm.
CH: 82-82 mph. Great shape for the CH with late arm side life and depth. Ability to throw it for a strike and swings and misses. T2078, 2018 average rpm.
ATH: 7.29 runner in the 60. 2.91 and 5.13 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 5-11, 177-pounds. High waisted, leaner and athletic body. More to come.
Hit: RHH. Even set up in the stance, relaxed hands. Present power to all parts of the field, quick hands, effortless pop. 70 mph bat speed with 21 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 91.2 mph. 322' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-88 mph. Athletic arm, clean.
Defense: Smooth actions, clean when fielding.
ATH: 7.29 runner in the 60. 2.91 and 5.13 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
(‘26, South Gibson County) The Team Tennessee member for the 2023 Future Games was impressive in a short relief outing today. The sophomore worked up to 88 mph in an inning and ⅓, with a sharp slider. The #1 ‘26 ranked P in the state and #2 overall is still getting ramped up after a full basketball schedule. Allen who has been up to 91 will look to be there and more going forward in the season for the hornets going into the summer.

Body: 5-11, 177-pounds. Athletic and lean look, room to continue to develop the frame.
Delivery: High level delivery with fluid motions. Controlled leg lift that works into a down the out motion with great back leg drive. Great seperation between upper and lower halves.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action behind him that gets drive from seperation with lower half.
FB: T87, 82-87 mph. Heavy fastball that jumps on hitter. Great extension with ability to locate. T2227, 2168 average rpm.
CB: 74-76 mph. Tunnels with fastball well until last min with late sharp mvoement. Will miss pitches at a high frequency. T2270, 2187 average rpm.
CH: 77-78 mph. Good feel for the pitch with depth to the arm side. Can drop more spin for added performance. T2078, 2038 average rpm.
ATH: 7.40 runner in the 60. 1.71 and 5.14 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Cade Allen, South Gibson County (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 5-11, 177-pounds. Athletic and lean look, room to continue to develop the frame.
Hit: RHH. Wide, slightly open setup with his hands held slightly in-front of him towards the middle of his body. Stride back to even as hands push into a loaded position before the swing launches. Middle of the field approach with intent to backspin balls. Turns barrel behind him well and has a slight upward angle of attack. 21Gs rotational accelleration. 90 Mph avg Ev 68.3 mph bat speed with 21 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 90.3 mph. 324' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-87 mph. Arm drops long behind him into a high 3/4 release, which produces accurate throws across the field.
Defense: Choppy steps with good range, comes through ball well with later glove presentation.
ATH: 7.40 runner in the 60. 1.71 and 5.14 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Delivery: Great athletic delivery with feel for throwing his fastball, CH and Slider at 79mph. Really Advanced actions and feel for pitching. Great command of his pitches and ability to use them. Has a cutting fastball at upper 80's
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action that works behind his body, gets great hip/Shoulder seperation.
FB: T88, 87-88 mph. Gets good extension on his FB, has high induced vertical break and high spin, will play up in the zone T2342, 2248 average rpm.
CB: 77-80 mph. CB has hard break. Tight movement, throwing off his FB will help tunnel these pitches and get bad swings T2284, 2284 average rpm.
