Tennessee Player of the Week: Morristown West LHP/OF Will Heflin
April 22, 2015
By Matt Byrd
Tennessee Director of Scouting
Morristown West won five games last week, and to say junior LHP/OF Will Heflin played a key role in those wins would be quite an understatement.
Heflin went 10-for-19 at the plate with one double, four RBI, and five walks while scoring 10 runs. As of Monday of this week, Heflin had a hit in 11 consecutive games, including four straight multi-hit games.
As if that weren’t enough, the Tennessee commit also went 2-0 with a save on the mound. In 13.1 innings of work, Heflin allowed no earned runs and just five hits with 11 strikeouts.
For his performance on the field, Will Heflin has been selected as the PBR Tennessee Player of the Week for April 13-18.
