Tennessee Insider: 2022 National Rankings
September 10, 2020
With the most recent release of the PBR 2022 National Rankings, Tennessee found 9 players cracking the top 500 in the country, an addition of four players since the previous rankings. OF/QB1 Kaden Martin (Knoxville Catholic) remains in the top spot for TN, coming in at 48th overall and Top 10 for uncommitted prospects nationally. Much different feel in the class due to the lack of spring season, but the PBR "boots on the ground" forces scoured their respective states for talent all summer in an effort to provide the most up-to-date and credible list of prospects. With college coaches forced to remain home, Prep Baseball Report made a commitment to highlighting players through live streams, social media, and advanced technology metrics, including Trackman and Blast, giving the players a fresh new player profile packed with certified data and high quality video.
Scout Notes
Kaden Martin | OF/QB1 | Knoxville Catholic | 2022 | Uncommitted
The dual-sport athlete made a lot of noise at the PBR Future Games, leading the event for long distance (412 ft. via Trackman) and one of the top exit velocities at 102.3 mph. Big, physical frame (6-foot-1, 210-pounds) with great explosiveness. One of the premier power lefty bats as he continues to refine his hit tool with more consistency, but the ball jumps off the barrel. Good defender with strong arm from the OF at 91 mph. Eyes remain on where the two-sport star will land as football season continues.
