MURFREESBORO, TN - The Tennessee Fall ID was held on Saturday, September 9th at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, TN. This event was an open event that consisted of players from the 2024-2027 classes from Volunteer state. Players went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60-yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to get numbers and metrics on TrackMan. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Kicking off our post-event coverage for this event, we take a look back at some of the top performers and standouts from Tuesday. Continuing over the course of the next week or so, we will release different statistical leaderboards for the event along with other pieces of content.

SS Jaylon Allen, Chapel Hill (GA), 2026
The 5 foot 6 GA native is a shifty mover with plenty of quick twitch capabilities and overall had one of the most impressive outings of the day standing out. Really stood out in the sixty portion of the event posting the fastest time of a 6.79. Allen, currently coming in at 145 pounds packs a punch with a strong frame for his stature as he had balls coming off his bat in the upper 80’s in terms of exit velocity. However, it was the barrel control that he showed at the plate that was impressive. Found the sweet spot of his bat routinely at 92%, which was the highest by far, for effortless line drives to center field and LF/RF gaps. Had smooth actions in the infield portion and currently profiles as a second baseman as his arm will need to catch up to other parts of his game. Overall, really stood out and is someone to continue to watch for as he comes into his sophomore season. 

OF Tyler Ansell, South Doyle (TN), 2025
The 6 foot 3 and 155 pound athlete looked good in the outfield with clean accurate throws from a fluid longer arm that contained arm lag and extension. He truly did make right field look close to home as his throws maintained plane with carry on a line. However, his future at the next level will most likely be on the bump as he carried 82-84 from a whippy arm action that carried that same back 90 degree arm lag for effortless velocity. This is someone coming into his junior season that may still surprise himself with how hard he could actually throw. If Ansell is able to add roughly 15 pounds going into this season without sacrificing in arm action and speed, touching upper 80’s consistently mph could easily be on the other side. Showed balance on his back leg with clean moving hips that created lag with the upper half for a clean easy follow-through. Carried ASR on his fastball with late action that will eat up right handed hitters. Off-speed still needs to develop but the athletic ability is clearly present. 

C Chase Young, Watertown (TN), 2025
Young may have had the best overall performance of the event as his physical abilities were clearly present and stood out. Physically mature kid at 5 foot 11 and 175 with muscle mass while still having plenty of room to fill out and even add. At the plate, creates some back-lean on his follow through for plenty of batted ball velocity with air. Showed power to pullside with recording the highest exit velocity of the day with a 96 mph batted ball. This went along with a sixty time of 6.83, which is .10 tense faster than our previous recording of Young. Defensively, displayed at catcher, and may have had the cleanest throwdowns at 2.03 with one hop accurate throws. This is someone who will look to continue his development and has some real potential. 

SS Eli Wells, Centennial (TN), 2025
Twitchy athletic kid that I was able to see play last year during their State tournament run. Clocked right at 7 in the sixty with fluid moving actions, wouldn’t be surprised to see him clock a sub 7 sixty within the next few months. Stood out defensively at SS with feel for working through the baseball with clean hips and ball receiving skills. Was able to lower his body without losing momentum as he transitioned to his throwing motion. Was impressive on attacking the baseball without wasted movements. Will need to continue adding arm strength as his ball carried line but could use more zip across the infield. 

INF Tristen Lithmexay, Nolensville (TN), 2027
A young freshman that may see some varsity action in the spring. Coming in at a mature 5 foot 11 and 160 pounds. Lithmexay has present strength, especially in the lower half with shoulders that standout from his frame. Strong kid currently for his size and that was evident with the 3rd highest bat speed at 71.2 mph and second highest hand speed at 22 mph. Has current fee for getting extension with his load as he creates adequate separation with his hands and lower half upon firing. Stayed mainly pull side with some loud barrels up the middle with a line drive approach.
