The 2015 Major League Draft takes place June 8-10. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.
Tennessee gets a ton of attention thanks to the powerhouse that is Vanderbilt, but the state could see three high school prospects popped in the top five rounds—something that hasn’t happened since 1999. RHP Donny Everett (Clarksville HS, TN) has one of the best fastballs in the entire country while 3B/OF Bryce Denton (Ravenwood HS, TN) and 3B Trey Cabbage (Grainger HS, TN) provide offense at corner positions.
Top Prospects
1. Donny Everett, RHP, Clarksville HS, TN
Everett has a strong frame at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds and a power fastball to match. He typically sits 92-95 with occasional life down in the zone, but has touched the high 90s regularly and even triple digits this spring.
