Independence vs Spring Hill (3/9/20)
Robert Hassell III, OF, Independence, 2020
The newly minted #4 HS prospect nationally, Hassell didn’t disappoint on his final opening day in the navy and gold. On the bump he worked 4.1 IP sitting 87-92 w/ nice breaking ball at 73-76. At the plate, Spring Hill tried to work around him, but Hassell picked up a pair of knocks with a line drive single to CF and a flare in shallow LF. He also lined out and walked twice (one intentionally). Elite hitter from the left side, balanced, athletic at the plate. Strong at early connection and impact w/ great rotation. Patient, advanced approach at the plate, not chasing pitches out of the zone. Lean frame w/ more projection. A true professional all-around.
‘20 OF/LHP @robert_hassell3 (@indyeaglesbb | @VandyBoys) with a multi-hit day vs @SHillbaseball also pitched into the 5th FB: 87-92 w/ mid 70s breaking ball. @NathanRode @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/XAdijRwq6f
