Scouting Report

8/01/20
6-foot-5, 190-pound lefty has an incredibly high-ceiling on the bump, but Green was unable to pitch over the weekend, leading him to strictly swinging that smooth lefty stick while manning first base.  Although his future seems to be on the bump (FB: 81-86, 1740-1858 rpm | CB: 70-73, 2353-2552 rpm via Trackman), as I’ve said all summer, don’t sleep on the bat.  Extra-long and lanky frame with great leverage from left side.  Showcased some good pull side juice (Max Exit Velo: 96.5 mph via Trackman), but a balanced hitter who can handle any pitching.  Good bat speed with max at 70.3 mph and 67.9 average while hammering some doubles. The overall athleticism is still catching up to his frame, but controls his body well and moves well around 1B.  A premium lefty talent on the hill, but no slouch with doing damage with the barrel.

6/06/20
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound southpaw put together a stellar performance against the SWA Storm.  Tall, long frame w/ high-ceiling projection.  FB was consistent 84-85 (1740-1858rpm via Trackman) in the first few frames, using his long levers to get good extension towards the plate.  Good feel for the 12/6 breaking ball at 69-71 (2353-2552rpm via Trackman) with great depth.  Mixed a CH w/ slight arm side action and some depth.  With the high ceiling on the mound, the bat was impressive as well, picking up some thunderous extra base hits.  The number one uncommitted 2023 as the summer roars on.

9/27/19
6-foot-4, 170-pound left-handed pitcher, broad shoulders on a  long, lanky frame, lean build, projectable, will add strength and fill out considerably as he physically matures. Arm works long and continuously on the back-side, clean action, accelerates quickly to a ¾ slot with whippy hand speed, works with good angle. Drop and drive delivery, hip lead, keeps everything on-line, landing square and finishing square to home. Good overall command and feel for his delivery. Fastball sat 83-84, touched 86, downhill. Curveball played at 69-70, 1/7 shape, has depth to it. With the present physical tools, Green will be a highly sought after prospect with tons of upside to be tapped into.

8/03/19
Towering at 6-foot-4, 170-pounds Green led the 2023 Tennessee offensive attack at Jr Future Games.  Tall, upright lefty stance, showed good barrel control w/ gap-to-gap power.  Solid all-around defensively at first base w/ good footwork. An arm injury limited his time on the mound this summer, but shows to be good projectable lefty arm when he returns to the hill.
