June 1, 2018
The state tournament has concluded and champions earned their title
We will take a look at each classification and discuss the standouts players and champions below that we were able to lay eye son.
Division I, Class AAA saw 8 teams come to Murfreesboro. Rossview was able to come away with the championship, relying on a strong start from Gage Bradley and hitting up and down the lineup, highlighted by a no doubt home run from Elijah Pleasants. We had a presence at a number of games, read up on standouts below:
GAGE BRADLEY / RHP / OF / ROSSVIEW , TN / 2020FB (87-89, T90 twice, T91), SL (78-80), CH (81-83) - 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 K Vanderbilt commit held a powerful lineup in check while throwing his best game we’ve seen from him this spring to win a state title. Threw a lot of strikes on this day, settled in after the first inning (13 balls thrown) and proceeded to throw just 16 balls after that inning. Showed ability to pitch to both sides of the plate w/ his FB, which showed occasional life through the zone. Had a feel for the SL, throwing it as a swing and miss pitch or for a strike. CH w/ arm-speed, fade and sink. Generated 8 swing and misses on 24 swings.
