Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 7 (April 24-29).

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Tyson McFall RHP / SS / Pigeon Forge, TN / 2023 The uncommitted right hander had two appearances for Pigeon Forge this past week on the mound.  Four innings pitched, no hits, one walk and seven strikeouts. Five innings pitched in a complete game effort, allowed just one hit, and picked up eight punch outs. Weekly total for McFall resulting in nine total innings of work, allowing just one hit, one walk and tallied 15 total strikeouts. Finished the regular season with 46.2 IP, 7-0, 5 CG, 1 SV, 23 H, 7 R, 1 ER, 12 BB, 69 K's and a .150 ERA
