We bounced around Knoxville a bit over 2 days and caught 2+ innings of Game 1 of the series between Tipton-Rosemark and Webb and then caught the entirety of Game 3 on Thursday. FB (85-87), SL (73-76), CH (80-81) - 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8 K Tennessee Tech commit threw a complete game win, we stayed for the first 2 plus innings. Prototypical pitcher build, tall, athletic frame w/ high-waist, present lower half strength, projectable. Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ slot. Quick arm. Super deceptive, don’t see his arm until it is coming through with the pitch. Jumps on you. FB shows arm-side run. Tight ¾ tilt SL flashed late bite, got better as the outing went along. Straight CH w/ occasional arm-speed. Pounded the zone, flashed ability to command (21 of 28 for strikes). Projects to command. Generated 8 swing and misses on 17 swings. |
