5-foot-6, 145-pound, RHH shows intriguing present tools for an incoming freshman. Short, athletic frame w/ some well-proportioned present strength, projectable. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into stride and short hand load. Generates bat speed through the zone, flashes some whippiness. Up the middle approach w/ lot of line drives when right. Clean swing w/ proper path, just waiting for strength to catch up. Singles hitter w/ projectable gap power at this stage of his development. Defensively, moves well at SS w/ good footwork and soft hands, tools to stay at SS as the frame matures. In the OF, moves well w/ projectable carry to target arm strength.

The 5-foot-7, 172-pound middle infielder has continued to make steady strides over the past year. Small, yet physical frame that packs a punch. Offensively, strictly hits right with balanced athletic stance. Quieted load movements allowing more consistent timing with small leg kick and better plane efficiency (68% per Blast). Generates above average bat speed (72.6 mph; Avg: 69.3 mph via Blast) and maximizes frame but sequencing well to drive the baseballs (Max Exit Velo: 94.4 mph; Max Distance: 347 ft per Trackman). Defensively, good range (6.92 sixty time) with sure hands and quick transfers. Sound fielding process with good footwork and body awareness. Shrader is a currently fringe top 100 prospect in the class and looks to be a solid contributor up the middle at the next level.
