Player Spotlight: Columbia Central 2020 OF Bryce Symlar Blazes a 6.44 60 Yard Dash
February 21, 2019 Tim Kay PBR Tennessee Scout
Scouting Report
2/3/19 - 60: 6.44, OF Velo: 84, Exit Velo: 82
5-10, 170-pound outfielder lit up the indoor track with his 60, leading all participants at the event while also leading in OF velocity. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, some physical projection. Offensively, hits w/ a very slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into toe tap and proper load. Generates bat speed through the zone, better bat-speed than exit velocity indicates. Top of the order offensive tools, repeats his swing, showed a quality approach last spring and looks to hit line drives all over the field. Projectable pull power type. Defensively, shows the tools to be an impact defensive OF, highlighted by the speed to cover gap to gap to go with easy arm strength w/ carry to the target.
