The season kicked off around the state last week, meaning we had plenty of statistics to sift through in selecting our first Pitcher of the Week award this spring. There were several worthy candidates nominated, but looking through the numbers, one player stood out as deserving of this week’s honor.

Ezell-Harding won three games last week, and Seth Wyse was directly responsible for two of them. The uncommitted senior lefty worked a total of 10 innings in his two victories, culminated by his dominant complete-game effort in a 4-2 win over Lebanon in which he allowed two hits and one earned run while racking up 13 strikeouts.

For his effort on the field, Ezell-Harding’s Seth Wyse has been selected as the PBR Tennessee Pitcher of the Week for March 14-19.
