PLUS: Game Report: Mt. Juliet @ Lebanon

On Tuesday, we headed to Lebanon High School for their district matchup with Mt. Juliet.  Lebanon scored 2 runs in all except 2 innings and won it 8-1.  We previously saw Lebanon here (https://www.prepbaseballreport.com/news/PBR/PLUS-Game-Report-Lebanon--Wilson-Central-5289136740?r=%2Ftennessee%2Fnews), so reports will be a little lighter on their end.  Read up on standouts below, including 2019 LHP Evan Britt, who threw a complete game and struck out 8:

EVAN BRITT / LHP / LEBANON, TN / 2019

FB (78-81, T82 twice), CB (66-70), CH (70-72)

-          7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 8 K

Big bodied lefty showed the ability to miss bats with his 3-pitch mix, especially his FB, where he generated 14 swing and misses on 36 swings (39%).  Tall, athletic frame w/ some well-proportioned lean strength throughout, super projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ to L ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber.  Simple, repeatable delivery.  Developing timing, can occasionally roll through his balance point and force his arm to play catch-up.  Easy arm stroke.  FB shows occasional short arm-side run, occasional straight.  CB is a sweeping slurve w/ proper shape and rotation.  Gets big and loopy at times.  Can be a very difficult pitch L on L due to the slot and life.  CH shows occasional short fade and sink, mostly straight.  Around the zone w/ the FB, developing consistency in the secondary stuff.  Tools to command.
