On Monday, we headed to Middle Tennessee Christian to see a district matchup against Christ Presbyterian Academy, featuring two very intriguing uncommitted lefties. Read up on both below, as well as a 2022 RHP that jumped out:

FB (79-81, T82 twice, T83 twice), CB (66-69), SL (71-73), CH (74) - 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 12 K Uncommitted lefty had a huge night, striking out 12 and pitching in control for the duration of the game. Medium, athletic frame w/ some present lower half strength, projectable. Has just scratched the potential of his frame. Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber. Simple, repeatable delivery. Arm works. Angle. FB shows short arm-side run and sink. Tight medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation. SL is the go-to pitch, tight ¾ tilt w/ late bite, proper shape. Advanced feel for both breaking balls, will throw any pitch in any count. Understands how to bury the SL on the back foot of RHH’s for strikeouts. Mixed in one CH, arm-speed, w/ short fade and sink. Attacked all night, pitching off of his SL. Around the zone, projects to command. |
