Nevada Class of 2026 Rankings: Initial Release

It is still extremely early, perhaps even premature, to be forecasting Class of 2026 prospects, especially since they have yet to play a high school spring season. Then again, with the acceleration of recruiting over the years, high-level 2026 prospects are already making verbal commitments.
Over the course of the last year, we’ve seen impressive talent in the 2026 class, ready to make their way through the high school scene. Several of the high-end talents should also be known on a national level as well.
With that said, we have released our initial 2026 rankings, a modest list of five prospects that have stood out among their peers. Certainly this list will grow and change over time, as we know many players will grow, develop and come to the forefront of the class at different speeds. We also know that we likely haven’t seen a number of other 2026 prospects that may be deserving of this list.

ROOKIE SHEPARD
SS / 2B / FAITH LUTHERAN , NV / 2026
Shepard is a player that needs no introduction. His resumé on the national circuit has not only put him at the top of Nevada's 2026 Class, but among the Top 2026 players in the country. The University of Miami commit leads a class that has already shown its incredible depth of talent with his present elite level tools on both sides of the ball. His obvious athleticism and present physical strength amplifies each part of his game and we believe there is still much more to come. Offensively, the power potential from the left side of the plate is hard to ignore, combined with the ability to find consistent barrels and hit for average has him in an elite class that a only a few Nevada players have earned their spot in. Keep you eye out for this one as the Class of 2026 PBR National Rankings drop soon..

COLTEN SPRINGALL
2B / SS / BISHOP GORMAN , NV / 2026
Springall adds to the premium level talent at the top of Nevada's 2026 Class. The present, athletic defensive tools combined with his elite level hit tool at the plate puts him among the top bats not only in Nevada's 2026 Class, but among the top freshman bats in the country. Already a Tennessee commit, the high level tools along with the work ethic make it no surprise that he was taken off the board before his first high school game. Colt is a player that we feel is only scratching the surface of what is to come, especially on the offensive side, with a lean, athletic build that has already flashed power potential and with additional strength could turn into present power to with his ability to consistently hit for average. This is another Nevada 2026 to keep your eye on as the Class of 2026 PBR National Rankings are set to come out soon.

No surprise to see another member of the "Southisene Army" at the top of the PBR Nevada State Rankings. Troy mirrors more than a few features of his older brother and Tennessee recruit, Ty Southisene. Already possessing an advanced set up and approach at the plate, he projects to be an early impact player for Basic Academy during his freshman campaign this Spring. Defensively, he already possesses advanced action at multiple positions that allow him to increase value as a prospect being able to hold down an infield or outfield position at a high level. Along with the present tools he possesses, the tempo and confidence he plays the game with is a separator for Southisene, raising the level of those around him with the way he goes about his business. This is a player that could be off the board in the near future.

ANDRUW GILES
OF / LHP / BASIC, NV / 2026
Giles comes off a successful Summer campaign that culminated in his commitment to the Texas A&M University. The present swagger and confidence he plays with captures you attention and he has the advanced actions on both sides of the ball to go with it. His rhythmic, tall set up at the plate works into his fluid, low effort stroke from the left side that you can't help but make comparisons to a young Bryson Stott, 1st Round Pick out of UNLV. The athletic defensive action paired with his PBR Verified 85 mph Outfield Velocity achieved earlier this year at the 2022 Rising Stars of Southern Nevada event, set a high base level for his PBR Metrics that we expect to continue trending in the right direction over the next four years.

KINGSTON KELA
3B / RHP / FAITH LUTHERAN, NV / 2026
Kela is another Texas A&M commit in Nevada's 2026 Class and it came as no surprise that he was taken off the board this early before he even began his prep career. The long, lean frame paired with rangy, fluid defensive actions as well as a simple, advanced approach at the plate. The obvious, present confidence he displays throughout his game is backed up by his play and that right now, only seems to be a glimpse of what is to come over the next few years as both a high level defender and bat in not only the Nevada 2026 Class, but as one of the top players in all of the 2026 Class. Kingston is expected to be a key contributor early in his prep career in a talented and deep Faith Lutheran lineup.
