NASHVILLE, TN - The Nashville Rising Stars ID was held on Tuesday, May 30th at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. This event was an open event that consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2027-2028 classes from Volunteer state. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on at the event.

Reid Bostic, Lipscomb Academy (TN), 2028
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-0, 155-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Athletic wide square stance, hands by ear; Bat parallel to the ground. No stride Short swing to the ball, fights to get barrel outfront; swing looks out of control at moments
Power: 76 max exit velocity, averaged 69.1 mph. 273' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-73 mph. long arm action, 3/4 arm action; Throws with good intent, makes accurate throws to the bag
Defense: Attacks the baseball, makes good decisions on how to field the ball, keeps feet moving

Parker Burleson, Collierville (TN), 2028
Positional Profile: 3B/C
Body: 5-6, 150-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Slight open athletic stance; hands start by chest, small leg kick Short to the ball, roates well behind front leg; Stays on plane with the ball. Slow swing
Power: 76 max exit velocity, averaged 69.3 mph. 242' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-60 mph. INF-66 mph. Short arm action, 3/4 arm slot; Lets the ground ball dictate his arm slot, throws look easy
Defense: 2.34-2.53 pop times. Keeps body moving in the right direction, Fields the ball outfront and funnels hands back to the middle of his body

Lane Estes, Chester County (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-0, 165-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Stands tall with an open stance; Hands are loaded back by his shoulder. Small leg kick Quick bat, makes contact inline with his body, fights to get his barrel outfront. Hits bottom half of the baseball for flyballs
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 81.3 mph. 321' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-78 mph. 3/4 arm slot, short arm action. Strong arm, keeps throws around the bag
Defense: Gets into a good athletic fielding position, keeps the ball in the middle of his body; Stays low to make a good throw. Quiet glove that works in front of his body well
ATH: 7.78 runner in the 60. 1.79 and 4.22 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Braydin Jones, University School of Jackson (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-11, 154-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Tall open stance, keeps hands close to his ear. Small stride. Linear swing, wants to pull the baseball in the air
Power: 85 max exit velocity, averaged 75.3 mph. 307' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-80 mph. Long arm action, high effort throws; standard 3/4 arms lot
Defense: Works around the ball well, gets feet in line to make throw; Moves to his right and left well. Glove works well

Levi Shipp, Home School (TN), 2028

Body: 5-10, 145-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Square stance, stands tall; hands close to his ear. As he starts his swing he loads his body into a crouch athletic position Short to the ball, rotates well behind front leg; Stays on plane with the ball. Slow swing
Power: 78 max exit velocity, averaged 70.7 mph. 265' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-64 mph. Short arm action, 3/4 arm slot; stands tall on his throws. Follows through on his throw
Defense: Keeps feet moving, moves laterally well, Shows patience on groundballs

Nate Simmons, The Webb School (TN), 2028
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 200-pounds. Big kid with present muscle mass and has a chance to feel out with age and development. Athletic ability present
Hit: RHH. square athletic base, hands start back by shoulder; small stride Swings down at the ball, creating lots of miss hits, goes the other way well
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 69.7 mph. 275' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-68 mph. Quick arm action, short 3/4 arm slot; Ball stays true on line to the base
Defense: Keeps ball in front, patient on groundballs; Good feel around 1B

Cooper Wright, Carlisle County (KY), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/C
Body: 6-1, 160-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Wide athletic square base, Hands stay close to his ear; small stride Minimal hand movement as he starts his swing, tries to hit everything off his back hip; short path to the ball
Power: 80 max exit velocity, averaged 77.0 mph. 279' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-67 mph. OF-74 mph. OF: Short arm action, body follows through his throw;
Defense: 2.22-2.56 pop times. OF: Attacks the ball well, moves laterally well; Fields the ball off his back foot

Berrin Zenner, Franklin Road Academy (TN), 2027

Body: 5-10, 180-pounds.
Hit: LHH. Open narrow stance, High back elbow close to his ear; simple stride Slight uppercut in his swing, tries to stay through the ball up the middle
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 84.7 mph. 312' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-73 mph. INF-76 mph. Short arm action, throws it from his ear, looks smooth and easy as he's throwing it. Capable of throwing form multiple slots
