MORRISTOWN, TN - The East TN Open + Rising Stars showcase were both held on Tuesday, July 19th at Ken Campbell Field on the campus of Walters State CC. This event was an open event that consisted of 20 prospects from the 2023-2027 classes. These players went through a pro-style workout and took batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion to record hitting metrics. Pitchers were able to throw bullpens and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Tuesday.
Kicking off our post-event coverage for these events, we take a look back at some of the top performers and standouts from the each day. Continuing over the course of the next week or so, we will release Statistical Leaderboards for the event then transition into releasing individual scouting reports for each player in attendance.

Generates above average bat speed w/ legit gap to gap power and driving balls to the pull side w/ authority. Impressive BP round w/ lot of barrels and raw power. Defensively, projects as corner OF or 1B, due to lack of speed (7.72 sixty) and average arm strength (78 OF Velo), but a bat first prospect, who can be a consistent contributor in the lineup.
Levi Gingerich, RHP, Green Level (NC), 2023
