CLARKSVILLE, TN - The Clarksville Open was held on Tuesday, June 27th at Austin Peay University in Clarksville, TN This event was an open event that consisted of players from the 2024-2027 classes from Volunteer state. Players went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60-yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to get numbers and metrics on TrackMan. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Tuesday.

POSITIONAL PLAYER REPORTS

KJ Anderson, Cookeville (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: C/3B
Body: 5-11, 185-pounds. Athletic and stocky frame. Present strength.
Hit: LHH. Slightly open from a narrow stance Shorter swing, quick hands to the ball, slight uppercut with lots of pop to pull side. 59.2 mph bat speed with 14 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Big frame with a well built lower half. May need to work on developing more twitch to coordinate his strength.
Hit: RHH. Slight open tall stance, hands away from body at shoulder height; regular stride Flat swing, barrel lags behind his body, hits the ball off his back leg; Lots of sinking line drives through the 4 hole 57.7 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Hit: LHH. Square tall stance, hands away from body; Small Toe tap Steep swing, has trouble getting hands extended.gets around the ball for role overs 63.8 mph bat speed with 10 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 83 max exit velocity, averaged 72.1 mph. 245' max distance.
