2024 Future Games: Team Tennessee, Workout Day Takeaways

Hunter Martin
TN Scouting Director

From Wednesday, July 24, through Sunday, July 28, Prep Baseball is hosting the next edition of its prestigious Future Games at LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Ga., featuring the country's best uncommitted talent. And, for the first time ever, the Future Games is hosting not just its typical set of incoming juniors and freshmen, but also a 17U division of uncommitted Class of 2025 players who will participate in the inaugural Senior Future Games.

On the first day of the 2024 Future Games, all players representing grad classes 2025, 2026, and 2028 will be participating in a pro-style workout in front of a fleet of Division I coaches alongside fellow prospects representing nearly every state in the nation, followed by game play the next three days at LakePoint Sports.

Inside this piece, we'll be highlighting some of the standouts from Team Tennessee from the 2024 Prep Baseball Future Games on the workout day.

TEAM TENNESSEE: WORKOUT DAY TAKEAWAYS

Noah Wilson OF / RHP / McCallie, TN / 2026

The rising junior for the McCallie Blue Tornado is coming off of  a very successful summer campaign for the Padres Scout team continued to impress as he shows off elite level tools at Lake Point. Wilson got the day started off with a bang in running a team best 6.47 60 yard dash. Something that has become exceptionally clear, is that Wilson is going to hit. He features an elite ability to let the ball get deep, with loud barrels to the backside with ease. One of the toolsier players in the class, the outfielder looks to continue what he has done all summer in producing against high level arms in gameplay this week.

Banks Addison SS / C / EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, TN / 2027

A rising sophomore who is currently the #2 overall player in the state had a very impressive outing during the showcase portion of the Futures game’s festivities this morning at Lake Point. Addison showed very solid speed at 7.18 during the 60 yard dash, prior to putting on clinics both at shortstop and at the plate. Currently ranked the number 1 shortstop in the state for his class Addison showed off a smoothness and precision in the field as one way way past his years, while showing off a plus arm already at 88 across the diamond. At the plate he showed off a very smooth lefty swing with a polished gap to gap approach that screams projectability down the line.

Michael Holt OF / 1B / Ravenwood High School, TN / 2026

Holt, who is an incoming junior at Ravenwood has done nothing but impress this summer. The outfielder first launched himself onto our radar during the school season where he started producing at a high level and has not slowed down yet. He would continue to impress at both the Top Prospect games and the NPI with impressive performances at both. Continuing the trend he made extremely loud noise in front of the Futures game crowd having the best BP rounds of the group, showing off extremely easy power to the poolside. Including one of 5 balls that left the yard which nailed the light pole in right center ⅓ of the way up. Holt, who is also a plus runner (6.87 60) has hit elite arms all summer in massive situations while manning a great outfield. The Ravenwood and Rawlings Mad Mavs product is one to get on early when September 1st hits.

Jayden Pearl OF / SS / Battle Ground Academy, TN / 2027

Pearl, who has and is becoming a staff favorite in the class continues to rise following a standout performance during the showcase portion this Wednesday at Lake Point. Pearl, who shows one of the more impressive sets of tools presently in the state, perhaps the country was on full display. He would run a 6.87 60 yard dash with a running-backs mentality, paired with a 84 OF velo (was 88 at the TN Top Prospects), and living in the high 90’s and multiple 100+ velocities. True to class in his age who oozes athleticism and projection, Pearl is a very high watch in the coming years.
