2024 Future Games: Team Tennessee, Game Takeaways

From Wednesday, July 24, through Sunday, July 28, Prep Baseball is hosting the next edition of its prestigious Future Games at LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Ga., featuring the country's best uncommitted talent. And, for the first time ever, the Future Games is hosting not just its typical set of incoming juniors and freshmen, but also a 17U division of uncommitted Class of 2025 players who will participate in the inaugural Senior Future Games.
On the first day of the 2024 Future Games, all players representing grad classes 2025, 2026, and 2028 will be participating in a pro-style workout in front of a fleet of Division I coaches alongside fellow prospects representing nearly every state in the nation, followed by game play the next three days at LakePoint Sports.
Inside this piece, we'll be highlighting some of the standouts from Team Tennessee from the 2024 Prep Baseball Future Games throughout game play at the event.

TEAM TENNESSEE: GAME PLAY TAKEAWAYS
GAME ONE VS. GEORGIA

Bo Holloway LHP / Nolensville High School, TN / 2026In the opening game of gameplay for the 2024 Team Tennessee, the baseball world was slammed in the face with something our staff has known for a very long time. Bo Holloway is one of the top arm talents in the country. He would get the ball against our state neighbors in Georgia, and promptly set down the side in order, recording two strikeouts with nearly the minimum. In the second inning he would also retire the side in order, getting in on the hands of the Georgia hitters forcing weak flyouts. During his 3 innings of work, Holloway showed what makes him special among his peers. Being the ease in which he produces elite velocity, in wet conditions without great grip on the mound he still lived in the low 90’s. Topping 93.5 and only dropping below the 90 mark in his last couple hitters. Among a gathered crowd of Power 5 coaches, the Nolensville ace showed exactly why they should watch, and watch closely. |

Cayden King RHP / 1B / MIDDLE TENNESSEE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 27 / POS: 5
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound right handed pitcher came into Future Games with a lot to like as he has made major headway throughout the winter at Preseason All-State, this spring where he was a dominant force on the bump and most recently at TN Top-Prospect Games back in May. The profile still reminds you in some ways of Brady Singer with the high-waistedness attached to the frame and athleticism surely that he will continue to grow into. The fastball held plenty of life in the 85-88 mph range that really jumped on hitters. In two innings of work, King fired 2 K’s while working out of some jams on the basepaths. Although he didn’t have his best stuff, he still competed extremely well and gave a lot to like with the character and the ability to manipulate the baseball out of hand. Working against a very strong Georgia lineup, he still worked quickly and efficiently. After the amount of innings he has thrown up until this point, he was probably due for some sort of velo drop but still showed out strong. The body offers a strong foundation in the lower half with plenty of future projection fully out there in front of him. Already shows feel for a two-pitch mix with starter profile upside. Power-5 future ability that should get plenty of calls post Future Games |

Quinn Showalter RHP / 1B / St. George's, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 3
The sturdy Showalter comes in with a well built profile at 6-foot-4 and 210-pounds that already offers present strength and a proportional build. Strong base with long legs that have already started to feel out with built shoulders that should handle velocity increases as he matures in age and feel. Although Showalter didn’t have his best performance on the bump from a statistical standpoint, he did show a lot nonetheless with so much future projection left to be remained. Fastball was exceptionally firm sitting in the 88-90 mph range, while topping 92. The breaking-ball showed late tunneled bite with real 12/6 action that got multiple swings and misses. The changeup was surprisingly effective with killed spin and late are-side run. Watch out for Showalter to use this outing as a springboard for him in his future and should start racking in plenty of calls as August gets rolling. |

Gunner Skelton SS / RHP / Columbia Academy, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 3
The #15 ranked player in the Tennessee 2026 player rankings, Skelton showed off all aspects of his game in the opening game against Georgia. He would kick start the offense in the middle innings of the game with an RBI base hit through the 5 hole. The 2024 state champion stayed hot with a homerun to left center that got out in a hurry. He would not be done however, in the final innings he would be called upon to show off the other aspect of his game. His skills on the mound were not to be outdone, as he worked a clean 8th inning while allowing only 1 baserunner. He would sit 85-86 and touched 87, barely needing any other offerings. The 2 way prospects has had a huge year, being a massive part of Columbia Academies 2024 Division 2A state championship, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. |

Michael Holt OF / 1B / Ravenwood High School, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 5
The outfielder out of Ravenwood was the staff consensus “big winner” coming out of the Team Tennessee team workouts. Putting on a show during batting practice, during which he put a team leading 5 balls over the fence. Holt would continue to produce at a high level during gameplay, getting his A swing off in a 3-0 count. Driving 97 mph into deep right center field off the fence for a stand up double. He brings a very physical frame to go with an extremely pure feel for hitting. It does not matter what you throw at him, he will quite literally knock it out of the park. |

Banks Addison SS / C / EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, TN / 2027Currently the second ranked player in the state for the class of 2027, the shortstop has been firing on all cylinders in Emerson this weekend, leaving a huge impression wherever he goes. Addison put on a show during the defensive workouts, he would keep the matinee going during BP. Where he put together a very mature gap to gap round of BP, with easy and controlled swings yet still making lots of noise. He would reach base twice in three at-bats, walking once before leaving the ballpark in impressive fashion. Easily clearing the left field fence to the tune of a 93 exit velo and 381 distance. Not the only loud contact for him on the day however, as he would be robbed of a base hit on a hard barrel that the shortstop snagged on a great play. He both looks and acts the part as a true shortstop, showing a maturity on and off the field that will treat him very well. Look for him to develop his speed as he moves forward, adding another elite tool to his belt as he makes his way through HS. |

Noah Wilson OF / RHP / McCallie, TN / 2026One of the most exciting players in the 2026 class, Wilson is in the process of adding a notch to what has been a very successful summer. The McCallie product was a force to be reckoned with in the top of the San Diego Padres Scout teams lineup. The outfielder has what is possibly the highest ceiling tools wise, with 6.4 speed in the 60 and both hit and power tools presently. Wilson impacts the game wherever he goes, making a run saving diving catch on a fading line drive, legging out an infield hit, stealing bags, or driving the ball out of the park. The McCallie Blue Tornado is one you should sound the siren for, as he is only going to grow bigger in the coming years. |

Luke Paciorek OF / 1B / Ravenwood High School, TN / 2026Since seeing him light up pitching at this year's NPI, Paciorek has been a staff favorite swing and player and he has been tearing it up at Lake Point during the Futures games festivities. An above average defender in the outfield, Paciorek has a great feel for getting the ball to the barrel. Which he did very loudly during game 1 against Georgia, lining out on a 97 exit velo frozen rope to the left fielder who barely took a step to catch it. A premier makeup at 6’2, 172-pounds, The Ravenwood product is one to follow closely in the coming years. |
GAME TWO VS. TEXAS

Cade Allen RHP / 1B / South Gibson County High School, TN / 2026Following an electric start in game 1 by his teammate Bo Holloway, Allen faced a tough draw in facing Team Texas. He was unfazed, however, as he would be PERFECT across 2 innings of work striking out 4 in the process. During his outing, which would end up awarding him Most Valuable Pitcher of the event, he would get his fastball up above 92 nearly grabbing a roundup 2. While also working with an extremely sharp curveball. Allen would get ahead of the count with ease, picking up ⅚ first pitch strikes in his 2 innings. A staff favorite arm action in the class, the South Gibson product works with an easy, yet intentful delivery that will continue to develop very well. With a large group of power 5 coaches in attendance, Allen stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park (which couldn't be said for the batters he faced). |

Phinn Waters LHP / Briarcrest Christian, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 14 / POS: 3
The Southpaw, who is a 2024 D2-AA state champion with Briarcrest, would look to feed off of the fireworks Allen set off in his 2 innings. Feed off of the fireworks he would do, he would punch out 5 out of the 6 batters he faced in his short outing with 6 first pitch strikes. Waters harnessed his adrenaline extremely well and grabbed another gear of velocity that we had not previously seen out of his arm, getting up to 92. His FB has some serious ride to it to go along with an extremely sharp slider in the 81-83 range. A legit arm talent with the competitiveness to boot, Waters is going to be a hot commodity in the coming months. |

Adam Riley RHP / 3B / Jo Byrns High School, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 13 / POS: 2
The 6-foot-0 and 175-pound prospect showed out well yet again at Future Games with free flowing mechanics that timed up well with the arm as it came into his throwing position. The body is built from the ground up and shows projection with an already well established foundation. The FB worked 89-91 mph with feel for the lower half of the strike zone. He gets on top of his pitches really well and already shows flashes with the ability to pitch. The curveball was firm at 73-74 mph with quality spin in the 2300-2400 rpm range, while showing both depth and sweep shape with the pitch. He already shows comfortability with command and attacking hitters facing 12 batters over 2 innings pitch with 9 first pitch strikes. He got hit a little and that is to be expected at an event of this magnitude but performed really well all in all and highlighted himself as one of the better arms in the 2026 class of TN. |

Jax Sparks SS / RHP / Hardin Valley Academy , TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 5
The two-time Future Gamer had himself another great outing in front of our staff and this time on the biggest stage. After performing well last year at this same event, Sparks came into Future Games with a little more polish and a more well-developed frame. Going 2 innings, Sparks would only surrender 2 hits facing 9 batters. He did get behind early and that was something that we haven’t been accustomed to seeing with him but with the pressure on in front of numerous scouts, a little early jitteriness is to be expected as he would come out hot hitting 90.5 on his first pitch, but would hit the right-handed batter in the box. He would settle down from there after he found his groove collecting 2 K’s on the night while sitting firm in the upper 80’s, and showcasing 2 potential plus offerings. His CB would come in at 75-77 with advanced tunneling out of hand that would surprise hitters at 2600 RPM’s, while also showcasing a well developed changeup at 80-81 with killed spin and late arm side tunnel. Sparks has been someone that has been on our radar for a while now and showcased yet again that there is a lot to like with the right-hander. |

Gunner Skelton SS / RHP / Columbia Academy, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 3
Following his loud performance during game 1 of Team Tennessee’s Future Games campaign, in which Skelton would have a no-doubt HR and pitch a scoreless inning of relief, Skelton was right back to work in game 2 against Texas. He would catch yet another barrel, this time to the tune of a 97 EV frozen rope into right center. He would also show off his skills on defense making some very solid plays in the infield. |

Jayden Pearl OF / SS / Battle Ground Academy, TN / 2027A top performer during the workout portion of the Futures games, Pearl would continue to impress in game 2 against texas. He appeared to settle in and let himself trust in his stuff, as he would be all over an early 90+ fastball for a smoked infield base hit, which he showed off his legs on forcing the SS to beat it. |
GAME THREE VS. FLORIDA

Michael Teasley 3B / RHP / Oak Ridge, TN / 2026On Team Tennessee's final game of the 2024 Futures Game’s, the Oak Ridge product would get the ball looking to keep pace with the pitchers that have come before him, and keep pace he would. In his two innings of work Teasley would strike out 4 while allowing 2 runs, running his fastball up to 93 and sitting 90-92, while showing feel for 3 distinct offspeed pitches. A top-tier competitor, Teasley shows the potential to have multiple plus pitches in his arsenal with steep arm side run on his fastball and great feel for spin on both his CB. He is coming off of a heavy workload in the spring season for Oak Ridge in which he garnered a large number of innings, while also being an electric run producer in the middle of the lineup. Very young for the class, the righty looks to continue to trend upward as he gets further into his development. |

Harrison Pollina RHP / OF / Arlington, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 31 / POS: 6
Team Tennessee looked to the tall and lean RHP out of Arlington High School to close out the 2024 Futures games festivities with another strong outing. In a close game against one of the better teams in the event in Florida, Polina would not disappoint. He would go 2 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit, 0 walks, and struck out 3 in the process. The righty brings a frame which pitching coaches will dream about at 6’3 and a very generous 170 pounds, his body and arm works very well and can add much more size and strength to the table. Polina would sit 87-89 in gameplay and would grab a 90 in the process, he also shows both a curveball and a slider that complement the fastball very well. The Memphis product shows a slow heartbeat with a premier frame and should be a hot commodity going forward. |

Cam Hayworth LHP / 1B / Dobyns Bennett, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 30 / POS: 5
The southpaw faced a tough task in the squad from the Sunshine State, which he would attack head on with 2 solid innings of work. Hayworth, who has impressed our staff all summer long did not have his best night under the lights at Lake Point, but grinded it out with minimal damage. He brings several uber desirable features in both height (being 6’5) and length with a high waist and limbs, he brings great projectability in his body and arm both of which are still developing. Hayworth would work his fastball in the mid to upper 80’s, topping 88, showing both a changeup and a breaking ball. When he is on, his CH is a massive weapon when facing right handed hitters. |

Eli Dickey RHP / RHP / Christ Presbyterian, TN / 2026One of several returners for Team Tennessee, Dickey brought a more refined frame and stuff to the table during the 2024 rendition of Futures Games. He puts one of the stronger lower halves of the bunch to great use as he gets his very quick arm through an over the top slot. Against Team Florida, he would have a shaky first inning that appeared to be all nerves before he settled down in his second inning of work. Dickey would work in the 88-90 range, popping 91 at times , with both a high 70s breaking ball and a 80-81 mph changeup. A high pedigree frame with very good stuff to boot, the CPA product has a bright future ahead of him. |

Banks Addison SS / C / EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, TN / 2027One of Team Tennessee's duo of ‘27 grad’s who both provided fireworks all week at LakePoint, Addison, who got the week started off with a bang during gameplay with a no-doubt pullside home run to deep right center. He would show off natural and easy actions at SS all week making routine plays smoothly and getting to balls that most middle infielders wouldn't, while also staying hot at the plate. During a primetime matchup against team Florida he would notch himself another impressive extra base hit with a backside double off the left centerfield wall at a 94 mph EV. An impressive talent all around, the ‘27 grad is an extremely toolsy player that still has plenty of growing left to do and is a must follow as he goes into his sophomore season. |

Jayden Pearl OF / SS / Battle Ground Academy, TN / 2027The toolsy outfielder, who has been impressive all week capped off his first year at Futures Game with a bang! Pearl would leave the ballpark in impressive fashion with an early towering home run to left field. He was all over the ball all week in gameplay and elevated this one to give him the launch that is desired. One of two ‘27s on Team Tennessee’s roster, Pearl was impressive all week at times out-pacing his older teammates and opened a lot of eyes and is a must watch as he progresses through high school. |

Michael Holt OF / 1B / Ravenwood High School, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 5
If you were going to take a dark horse candidate for biggest riser during the event from Team Tennessee's squad, Michael Holt would have turned out to be a great choice. A true hitter at the dish, he would show off great pull-side pop during BP by putting 5 balls into the ditches, and would collect multiple extra base hits during gameplay. During the game against team Florida he would add to his hit total by turning around 90+ for a double off the right field wall. A very solid defender in the OF he made several great plays to save runs across the week's festivities. A ballplayer in all sense of the word, Holt wil be a great addition to any program, while producing the whole way. |

Noah Wilson OF / RHP / McCallie, TN / 2026You will be hard pressed to find somebody who had a more strenuous summer schedule than #4 overall ‘26 in the state in Noah Wilson, although he is not done yet as he will be in Miami in September for the Prep Baseball All-American games. He has done nothing but produce and impress all summer in all aspects of his game. He is one of the more physical players in the class checking off many of the desired 5 tools. Against Florida, he would go to the deepest part of the ballpark in left center for a backside double (would be triple, baserunning mishap) that came off the bat a 97 mph. High-quality athlete, ballplayer, and kid to be around, Wilson will be one to play a very close eye on this September in the 305 and beyond. |
