The PBR MN Fall Review took place on Sunday, October 20, 2019. The event was held at the West St. Paul Athletic Center in West St. Paul, MN. The event featured prospects from the 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023 grad classes; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and college coaches in attendance.

Jack Arndt, OF, Coon Rapids, 2020
5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  7.01 runner.  Squared stance and weight started slightly back.  Body load with leg lift trigger.  Sits back through swing.  Swing plane works down to contact.  Middle approach with ground ball to fly ball contact.  Average contact with 79 mph exit velocity.  OF- Moves athletically to field.  Clean glove and fields through ball.  Stays behind ball through release.  Shorter arm action.  81 mph arm strength with average carry and good accuracy. 

Jacob Back, OF, Rosemount, 2021
5-foot-10, 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  7.25 runner. Balanced stance.  Hands work down to load with small stride.  Flat swing plane.  Uses the whole field with line drive contact.  Average contact and barrel control with 79 mph exit velocity.  OF- Average athlete and aggressive routes to ball.  Fields ball high.  Stays behind ball through throw.  82 mph arm strength with average carry and good accuracy. 

Trinity Blood, OF/RHP, Elk River, 2021
5-foot-10, 163-pound switch hitting 2-way player.  7.26 runner.  Small crouch and balanced stance.  Body load.  Knee to knee and hands go back.  Slight arm bar.  Some length in swing.  Aggressive swing.  Pull approach with ground ball contact.  83 mph exit velocity.  OF- Active feet and direct routes to field.  Flips ball into throwing hand.  Makes routine play with some stiffness.  81 mph arm strength with good accuracy and carry. 

Evan Esch, LHP/OF, Mounds Park Academy, 2021
5-foot-11, 165-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player.  The 33^rd ranked player in the MN 2021 class.  6.96 runner.  Tall slightly open stance.  Shoulder load.  Good hands and body gets through swing well.  Consistent swing plane.  Middle approach with line drive contact.  83 mph exit velocity.  OF- Aggressive to field.  Shows athleticism.  Fields ball clean but works high.  Long arm action with time to release.  87 mph arm strength with good carry and average accuracy. 

Reilly Gapinski, OF/SS, Apple Valley, 2021
5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  7.50 runner.  Open balanced stance.  Simple stride and hand load.  Aggressive swing.  Lower half gets through swing.  Middle approach with line drive contact.  Average barrel contact with 81 mph exit velocity.  OF- Raw actions.  Stays low to field.  Average glove and fields through ball.  72 mph arm strength with fade carry.  IF- Stiff actions.  Tends to sit back.  Glove is stiff.  66 mph arm strength with below average carry and average accuracy. 

Drew Giel, OF/2B, North St. Paul, 2020
5-foot-11, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  7.35 runner.  Slightly crouched open stance.  Leg lift trigger.  Hands load back and slight arm bar.  Barrel is flat through zone with a short finish.  Uses the whole field with groundball to fly ball contact.  Inconsistent barrel with weaker contact.  78 mph exit velocity.  OF- Sits back to field.  Stays behind through release.  Slinger arm action.  Glove is stiff.  73 mph arm strength with average accuracy and fade carry.  IF- Sits back and fields high.  Cleaner when moving laterally.  Glove has some stiffness.  Quicker release.  72 mph arm strength with good accuracy and fade carry. 

Braxton Greenburg, OF/RHP, Wayzata, 2021
6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player.  The 44^th ranked player in the MN 2021 class.  7.13 runner.  Narrow upright stance.  Body load with leg lift.  Uses whole body to swing.  Aggressive.  Mid/pull approach with ground ball and line drive contact.  Average barrel with 83 mph exit velocity.  OF- Average feet and will sit back on ball.   Good glove and fields ball clean.  Long arm action.  85 mph arm strength with good carry and accuracy.

Klayton Hawkins, OF, Wabasha Kellogg, 2021
5-foot-9, 160-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  7.13 runner.  Upright stance.  Hand load down and stride.  Sits back through swing.  Barrel scoops through zone and around contact.  Pull approach with ground ball to fly ball contact.  Inconsistent barrel with 83 mph exit velocity.  OF- Active feet and stays behind ball.  Average glove with some stiffness.  Makes routine play.  78 mph exit velocity with god accuracy and average carry. 

Walker Hultgren, OF/RHP, Osseo, 2020
6-foot-3, 185-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.53 runner.  Upright stance and high handset.  Stride and small hand load.  Swings hard.  Pull approach with ground ball and line drive contact.  Average contact and flashed some pop in barrel.  85 mph exit velocity.  OF- Average feet and sits back at times.  Good glove and fields through ball.  85 mph arm strength with good carry and average accuracy. 

Rowan Jungling, OF, Anoka, 2020
6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  6.94 runner.  Balanced stance with high handset.  Quick toe tap and hand load.  Raw swing with some bat speed.  Flat swing plane with short finish.  Middle approach with mainly line drive contact.  Hard contact with strength in barrel.  91 mph exit velocity.  OF- Aggressive feet to field.  Glove is stiff.  Long arm action with some push release.  81 mph arm strength with average carry and good accuracy. 

Kyle Law, OF, Andover, 2022
6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  6.88 runner.  Balanced set up with pre-loaded hands.  Lower half gets through swing.  Easy swing.  Middle approach with line drive contact.  Consistent contact with solid barrel.  83 mph exit velocity.  OF- Moves athletically to field.  Glove is clean and fields through ball.  78 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy.

Jacob Marx, 3B/OF, Champlin Park, 2020
6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting infielder.  7.69 runner.  Wider open stance with high handset.  Compress load down and back.  Arm bar at times with some length to contact.  Hips spin through swing.  Pushes barrel through contact with a short and stiff finish.  Middle approach with ground ball to fly ball contact.  Inconsistent barrel contact with 85 mph exit velocity.  OF- Heavy feet and stays behind ball into throw.  Average glove.  82 mph arm strength with good accuracy and average carry.  IF- Slow feet and off center to field.  Average glove and makes routine play.  79 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy. 

Wyatt McCabe, SS/OF, Watertown-Mayer, 2023
5-foot-8, 140-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  7.56 runner.  Squared balanced stance.  Some rhythm in load.  Leg lift trigger.  Hands work inside out and rolls wrists after contact.  Mid/opp approach with line drive contact.  Average contact with inconsistent barrel control at times.  75 mph exit velocity.  OF- Active feet and good routes to baseball.  Glove is stiff and makes routine play.  75 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy.  IF- Active feet and sits back to field.  Average first step.  Glove is stiff and makes routine play.  70 mph arm strength. 

Xander Paar, SS/OF, Coon Rapids, 2020
5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  7.27 runner.  Shoulder width stance with relaxed hands.  Leg lift and hand load with rhythm.  Lower half gets through swing.  Swing is loose with some length.  Looks to elevate.  Uses the whole field with line drive and fly ball contact.  Good contact with flashes of pop in barrel.  85 mph exit velocity.  OF- Good feet and routes to field.  Average glove and fields through ball.  Some time to release.  77 mph arm strength with good accuracy and fade carry.  IF- Active feet and works around ball to field.  Good glove, fields in front and funnels in.  74 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy. 

Angelo Pacyga, OF, St. Thomas Academy, 2021
6-foot-1, 178-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.12 runner.  Wider crouched stance.  Starts and stop type load.  Barrel is deep and long to contact.  Some stiffness in finish.  Middle approach with average contact when on time.  83 mph exit velocity.  OF- Raw mechanically.  Sits back to field.  Average glove and fields through ball.  77 mph arm strength with average carry and good accuracy.

Charles Running, RHP/OF, Prior Lake, 2022
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player.  7.59 runner.  Slightly open upright stance.  Hands start high and load down to back.  Leg lift trigger.  Aggressive swing.  Swing plane works down to contact.  Middle approach with line drive contact.  Average barrel with 81 mph exit velocity.  OF- Average first step and slower to field.  Glove is stiff and fields to the side.  76 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy.

Trenton Smith, 1B/OF, Cannon Falls, 2022
6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitting first baseman.  7.82 runner.  Balanced stance and high handset.  Leg lift to start. Swing plane works down through contact with short stiff finish.  Middle approach with ground ball to fly ball contact.  Inconsistent barrel with 69 mph exit velocity.  OF- Slow and heavy feet.  Stays low to field.  Average glove and makes routine play.  Longer arm action.  64 mph arm strength with good accuracy.  IF- Sits back to field with some squat.  Average glove.  65 mph arm strength with fade carry and average accuracy.   

Will Spychalla, OF/LHP, Browerville, 2021
6-foot-5, 178-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player.  7.28 runner.  Upright and open stance with preset hands.  Compresses to start.  Swing plays works down and up through contact.  Mid/pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact.  Some strength to swing with 88 mph exit velocity.  OF- Attacks ball and takes direct routines.  Glove can be stiff and makes routine play.  Long arm action with whip at times.  77 mph arm strength with average carry and good accuracy.

Nick Trucke, C/OF, Watertown-Mayer, 2020
6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  The 92^nd ranked player in MN 2020 class.  7.07 runner.  Slightly closed stance with high handset.  Leg lift trigger with some rhythm in load.  Aggressive swing and good balance through.  Average swing plane.  Good extension at times.  Uses the whole field with line drive contact.  Solid and consistent barrel contact.  84 mph exit velocity.  C- Good strong frame.  Quiet.  Should ability to hold pitches with good glove.  Longer exchange and footwork.  2.13-2.27 pop times.  70 mph arm strength.  OF- Active feet and shows some athleticism.  Fields through ball and can be stiff at times.  76 mph arm strength with good accuracy and average carry. 

Seth Velander, OF/RHP, DeLaSalle, 2021
5-foot-8, 145-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.87 runner. Balanced squared stance.  Small stride and hand load.  Stiffness through load and into swing.  Flat inside out swing plane.  Middle approach with ground ball and line drive contact.  Inconsistent contact with 77 mph exit velocity.  OF- Active feet and takes good routes to ball.  Average glove and fields through ball.  Short arm action.  79 mph arm strength with good accuracy.
