Trackman Hitting Leaders: Diamond Devils Scout Day 2027 Grad Class
May 31, 2024
On Saturday May 18th Prep Baseball of South Carolina was on hand at Cane Bay High School in Summerville, SC for a scout day with the Diamond Devils Organization. The event featured players from the 2024-2028 grad classes.
On a rainy monring that limited what we could accomplish on field wise, we were still able to collect most data of defensive velos along with hitting exit velos tracked by Trackman, along with pitching data which each each tracked by Trackman as well. With the weather we were not able to run the 10/30/60 yard splits and the 17u teams hitting and defensive workouts were postposened until June 14th. But with the great facilites of Canes Bay HS and the paticnes of the players, families, and the Diamond Devils organizations we were able run a great scout day!
Below we begin our breakdown of the players in attendance.

LAUNCH ANGLE PERCENTAGE
Based on the ball flight, TrackMan is able to identify each hit as a ground ball, line drive, or fly ball. While there are many factors as to why a hitter may approach each pitch in a certain way, the overall groupings of BP can give some insight to each hitter's approach.
