Carolina Senior Games East: Quick Hitters - Pitchers

On Sunday October 15th PBR of South Carolina and North Carolina was on hand at Francis Marion University for our Carolina Senior Games East. The event featured players from the 2024 grad classes.
The day started with players running a laser timed 60 while using swift timing gates to measure their 10 yd/ 30 yd/ and 60 yd split, along with testing vertical jump on the jump mat. After the athletic testing, position players took BP on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data, followed by catchers, outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation.
After the workout, the players where split into to teams and played a controlled game. Pitchers threw to live hitters in a controlled environment, allowing PBR Scouts to control pitch count and stress of each inning. Hitters got live looks at pitchers, allowing the coaches and scouts in attendance to further their evaluations after BP, in the live setting.

QUICK HITTERS - PITCHERS
6-3 178 pound long lean projectable frame. Big time outing from this young man on the day. Smooth controlled delivery down the mound while having a smooth arm swing and throwing from a H 3/4 arm slot. FB was up to 84.8 mph with a max IVB of 23.8. Was ablke to move the FB in and out for strikes. Breaking ball showed good depth to it while up to 74 mph with a max spin of 2291 rpm. Could throw for strikes as well as use it as a put away pitch. CH more of a straight change that had a good change of pace to it while up to 74.7 moh and an avg spin of 1782 rpm
6-1 185 pound strong frame with present strength. Had a slower controlled tempo delivery with a high leg lift and throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. FB showed some arm side run to iut while up to 84.3 mph with a max spin of 2487 rpm. Was able to mix in 2 different breaking balls with a CB and SL. Showed the ability to throw both for strikes. CB was up to 68.3 mph and the SL was up to 71.9 mph. CH had goos fade to it along with some sinking action to it down in the zone while up to 76.2 mph and an avg spin of 1474 rpm.
6-0 155 lean frame with room to add strength. Controlled delivery with good pace to it with a shorter arm swing in the back, while throwing from a H 3/4 arm slot. FB was up to 81.7 mph with a max IVB up to 22, while being able to move FB around the zone. CB had a bigger break it while showing th ability to throw it for strikes. CB was up to 68.3 mph with a max spin of 2384 rpm. CH had good action to it down in the zone while up to 73.6 mph and a max spin of 1732 rpm.
6-0 195 pound strong physical frame. High, inward leg lift to get loaded with good direction down the mound. Shorter arm action in back while throwing from a H 3/4 arm slot. FB shows goos life to it when down in the zone while up to 81.5 mph and a max spin at 2174 rpm. CB had good shape to it while up to 68.5 mph with a max spin of 2092 rpm. CH showed good sinking and fading action to it while up to 76.8 mph and a max spin of 2128 rpm. Also mixed in a cutter as well with a shorter sharper break to it.
6-0 157 pound lean athletic frame. Slow paced delivery with a longer arm swing with quickness to it while throwing from a over the top arm slot. FB was up to 81.1 mph with a max spin rate of 2189 rpm. CB had depth to it with a bigger break while up to 67.8 mph and a max spin of 2342 rpm. CH should good action down in the zone while up to 76.5 mph with an avg spin of 1815 rom.
6-1 200 pound strong frame with good athleticsim. Has a slow tempo delivery with a shorter arm action in the back with a quick loose arm from a 3/4 arm slot. FB had life to it while up to 81 mph with a max spin rate of 2283 rpm. Mixed in 2 different breaking balls with a CB and a SL. The CB was up to 69.7 mph while the SL was up to 69.8 mph. CH had good sinking and fading action to it down in the zone while up to 74.6 mph and a max spin of 1877 rpm.
5-9 185 pound frame with with a compact delivery with good direction down the mound. Has a short arm action with a quick arm and throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. FB was up to 79.7 mph and a max spin of 2054 rpm. SL was up to 71.6 mph with a max spin of 2093 rpm while showing break at 2/8 action. CH had fade while up to 72 mph and have an avg spin of 1370 rpm.
6-2 160 pound lean projectable frame. Up beat tempo with good direction down the mound and an upright finish. Medium arm swing in the back with looseness to arm while throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. FB has some armside run to it while up to 79.1 mph and a max spin of 2105 rpm. Breaking ball had a big break to it with depth while up to 75.4 mph and a max spin of 2342 rpm. CH had fade to it when down in the zone while up to 71.5 mph and a max spin of 1812 rpm. Also mixed in a cutter that a short right to left break to it up to 77.2 mph.
