Quick Hitters: Megastars Scout Day - Position Players

On Saturday May 20th PBR of North Carolina was at Moor Park in Mooresville, NC for a Scout Day with the Charlotte Megastars. The Scout Day featured players from the 2024-2026 grad classes.
The day began with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation followed by players running a laser timed 60. Position players then took BP on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. After BP, catchers went through their defensive evaluation. The day concluded with pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting ball flight data.

Quick Hitters
5-foot-5, 132-pound build. Stayed in the middle of the field during BP. Hands have quickness, barrel stays inside the ball. Top exit velocity at 78.6 mph, average EV at 71.2 mph. Arm topped at 71 mph from behind the plate.
Strong build at 6-foot-2, 196-pounds. Worked through the middle and to the left center gap during BP. Peak exit velocity at 94.6 mph, average EV at 89.6 mph. Hands have strength with bat speed through the zone, barrel gets length out front. Arm up to 77 mph from behind the plate with his best pop time at 1.97.
5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Lined balls to the left center gap during BP. Hands have quickness with a flat swing path. Top exit velocity at 91.6 mph, average EV at 85.5 mph. Ran a 6.79 laser timed 60.
5-foot-10, 170-pound frame. Hands have quickness, line drive approach working gap to gap in BP. Flat barrel path through the zone, top exit velocity at 89.1 mph, average EV at 79 mph. Ran a 6.9 60 on the lasers.
5-foot-11, 165-pound frame. Lined balls to both gaps during BP. Peak exit velocity at 86.5 mph, average EV at 77.3 mph. Balanced swing with his barrel staying through the zone. Arm reached 84 mph across the diamond.
Athletic build at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Left hand hitter. Hit several balls hard in BP with the ability to use both sides of the field. Simple, balanced swing, keeps his barrel through the zone. Hands are quick, peak exit velocity at 97.5 mph, average EV at 84.4 mph. Arm topped at 85 mph from the outfield, ran a 6.77 laser timed 60.
6-foot, 180-pound frame with room to add strength. Worked through the middle and to the right center gap during BP. Hands are quick, stays balanced with his barrel working flat through the zone. Top exit velocity at 88 mph, average EV at 75.3 mph. Ran a 7.08 60 on the lasers.
6-foot, 160-pound frame with room to fill out. Worked through the middle of the field during BP. Peak exit velocity at 86.9 mph, average EV at 73.5 mph. Loads with a leg lift, hands get ready to attack, direct path with quick hands. Arm reached 86 mph from the outfield, ran a 6.93 laser timed. 60.
