Quick Hitters: Corndogs Scout Day - Position Players

On Saturday June 3rd PBR or North Carolina was on hand at Charlotte Latin for a Scout Day with the Queen City Corndogs. The Scout Day featured players from the 2024-2026 Grad Classes.
The workout began with pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting ball flight data. Following the pitchers, the catchers went through a defensive evaluation, then the position players took batting practice on the field with Trackman gathering ball flight information. The day concluded with infielders and outfielders going through a defensive evaluation.

Quick Hitters
6-foot, 190-pound frame. Short path to the ball with his barrel working level through the zone. Lined balls to both sides of the field. Top exit velocity at 88.3 mph, average EV at 83.9 mph. Arm reached 83 mph across the diamond.
Athletic frame with projection ahead at 6-foot, 170-pounds. Hit several balls of the barrel working through the middle and to his pull side. Top exit velocity at 89.4 mph, average EV at 81.7 mph. Loose swing with quick hands, keeps his barrel through the zone. Arm peaked at 80 mph across the infield.
6-foot, 175-pound frame. Stayed through the middle of the field during his BP rounds. Weight loads back, toe tap load, flat barrel path through the zone. Peak exit velocity at 89.4 mph, average EV at 81.3 mph. Arm topped at 82 mph across the infield.
5-foot-9, 175-pound frame. Simple, balanced swing working gap to gap during BP. Level swing path with his barrel getting extension out front, hands have quickness. Peak exit velocity at 87.7 mph, average EV at 80.7 mph. Arm up to 75 mph from behind the plate to second base.
5-foot-9, 1500 pound build with room for maturation ahead. Worked mostly to his pull side posting his top exit velocity at 83.7 mph, average EV at 72.8 mph. Loads with a leg kick against his back hip, flat barrel path through the zone with some quickness to his hands.
6-foot, 165-pound frame with room to add strength. Left hand hitter. Worked to both sides of the field during BP with his highest exit velocity at 87.7 mph, average EV at 80.7 mph. Quiet barrel in the load, some lift to the swing path getting length through the middle of the field. Ran a 7.22 laser timed 60, arm peaked at 80 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-11, 175-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Worked to both gaps during his BP rounds. Top exit velocity at 92.7 mph, average EV at 81.3 mph. Hands have quickness with his barrel working level through the zone. Arm topped at 78 mph from the outfield.
6-foot-1, 200-pound frame. Simple, balanced swing with a short path to the ball, barrel stays through the zone. Hands have strength and quickness. Top exit velocity at 85.1 mph, average EV at 78.6 mph. Arm up to 84 mph on the infield.
6-foot-3, 238-pounds. Left hand hitter. Worked to his pull side during BP. Direct path to the ball with his barrel working flat through the zone, hands have strength. Top exit velocity at 87.7 mph, average EV at 78.7 mph.
6-foot, 154-pounds frame with room to add strength. Balanced swing with quickness to his hands. Barrel is direct to the ball and stays flat through the zone. Worked mostly to the left center gap posting a peak exit velocity of 88.7 mph, average EV at 77.3 mph. Arm topped at 81 mph across the diamond.

Lanky frame at 6-foot, 160-pounds with room to add strength. Worked through the middle and to his pull side during BP. Direct path to the ball with his barrel working flat through the zone and getting length out front. Peak exit velocity at 85.4 mph, average EV at 76.8 mph. Ran a 7.15 60-time on the lasers. Arm up to 81 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. Stayed through the middle of the field during BP posting a top exit velocity of 81.2 mph, average EV at 70.9 mph. Balanced swing with a flat barrel path through the zone. Arm reached 79 mph on the infield.
5-foot-9, 142-pound frame. Simple, balanced swing, barrel stays through the zone with slight lift to the barrel path. Top exit velocity at 82.7 mph, average EV at 78.9 mph. Hands have some quickness with feel for the barrel.
Strong build at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. Hands have strength with his barrel working short to the ball and staying through the zone. Hit several balls off the barrel working through the middle of the field. Top exit velocity at 91.1 mph, average EV at 82 mph. Ran a 7.32 laser timed 60.

Long, lanky frame at 6-foot-3, 170-pounds. Worked gap to gap during BP posting a peak exit velocity of 85.9 mph, average EV at 71.8 mph. Balanced swing with a level barrel path and some quickness to his hands. Arm up to 81 mph on the infield and 82 mph from the outfield. Ran a 7.16 laser timed 60.
