Pee Dee Regional Scout Day: Quick Hitters - Position Players

On Saturday December 3rd PBR of South Carolina was on hand at Florence Legion Stadium in Florence, SC for the Pee Dee Regional Scout Day. The event featured players from the 2023-2027 grad classes.
The day started with BP on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data followed the defensive evaluations followed by laser timed 60. Then pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting data analytics to finish the day.

Quick Hitters
POSITION PLAYERS
6-0 245 pound strong physical frame with present strength. Showed big power with a max exit velo of 100.9 mph with a max distance of 372 feet. Had some natural lift in his swing with an average launch angle of 20.2 degrees. Consistent hard contact in BP while showing aggressive pull side approach.
6-1, 230-pound frame with current strength. With aggressive swings, demonstrated a pull side approach. Showing off his ability to drive the baseball with power. Showed hard contact throughout the rounds. The maximum exit velo on the day was 99.7 mph, with a maximum distance of 379 feet.
6-3, 200-pound frame that is strong and has room for extra muscle. Hits from an upright stance and loads up with a toe tap and hand pump. With a maximum exit velocity of 96 mph, he swings through the ball to generate power in his bat. Had a max distance of 361 feet with natural loft in the swing with lots of loud contact during BP.
He has a physically fit and athletic body at 6-3 and 207 pounds. Gets into a strong hitting position and maintain good extension out front while staying behind the ball, use a tall, open stance with a high leg lift. Swings are forceful, and with pop in the bat. Shows great bat speed and the capacity to maintain plane. 95.8 mph is the maximum exit velocity and a max distance of 333 feet.
6-2, 245 lb. A right-handed batter with a medium stride and a toe tap load. A line drive swing with a pull approach to left center field in BP. Maximum exit velocity is 94.8 mph, with a maximum distance of 294 feet.
6-1 190 pound strong athletic frame with present strength. Aggressive pull side approach with power in the bat. A simple setup with a medium stride to a balanced hitting position. Had a max exit velo up to 92.8 mph and a max distance of 335 feet.
5-11 203 pound strong frame. Worked above the ball with a downhill approach with his swing. Showed some strength in swing with a max exit velo of 92.5 mph. Has an open stance with an early toe down stride to balance.
6-0 190 pound strong athletic frame with present strength. Hits from a wider base and a short stride to balance. Showed strength in swing with a flat stroke through the zone. Had a max exit velo of 92.4 mph and a max distance of 348 feet.
6-0 180 pound athletic frame with current strength and room to add on. Hits from a wider, slightly opened stance and uses a toe tap to get loaded up. Had a line drive approach while staying above and through the ball. Had a max exit velo of 91.8 mph with a max distance of 309 feet.
6-1 185 pound frame with present strength. Left handed hitter with a short stride and a natural upward path through the ball. Showed good contact in BP with a max exit velo up to 91.6 mph. Moved well in the outfield while working through the ball with good throws to the plate.
5-10 165 pound lean athletic frame with room to add on. Right handed hitter with a balanced simple set up with a controlled load and medium stride. Shows a good short flat swing through the ball. Had a max exit velo of 88.6 mph and a max distance of 321 feet.
6-1 155 pound long lean athletic frame with plenty room to add on. An upright stance with smooth controlled load. Has a good flat stroke through the ball with some natural lift in his swing. Had a max exit velo of 87.7 mph with lots of consistent contact.
5-11 165 pound lean frame. A simple setup with a medium stride to balance. A flat swing through the ball with good extension out front. Had a pull side approach in BP while working above the ball. Had a max exit velo of 87.2 mph with a max distance of 312 feet.
5-10 160 pound lean frame. An upright stance with a medium leg lift and stride. A line drive approach while staying through the ball. Showed a max exit velocity of 87.2 mph and a max distance of 258 feet. Showed good versatility and athleticism behind the plate and in the outfield.
5-11 180 pound athletic frame with good strength and room to add on. A simple setup with a balanced base. Showed a line drive approach while using a whole field approach. Showed good strength with a max exit velo of 87.6 mph and a max distance of 268 feet.
5-11 165 pound lean frame with room to grow. A left handed hitter with a simple setup and balanced stance with a medium stride to a good hitting position. Has an uphill path through the ball with an average launch angle of 26.2 degrees. Had a max exit velo of 86.5 mph.
5-11 230 pound frame. Right handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a medium stride to a balanced hitting position. Had a good line drive approach with consistent hard contact. Produced a max exit velo on the day of 86.4 mph and a max distance of 323 feet.
6-0 155 lean athletic frame with room to add on. Left handed hitter that hips from an upright opened stance. Uses a longer stride to a balanced hitting position. Has a flat swing through the ball with a line drive approach in the middle of the field. Produced a max exit velo of 86.4 mph on the day and a max distance of 293 feet.
6-2 180 pound long lean frame with present strength and room to add on. Hits from an upright stance with a short lift into a medium stride to a balanced hitting position. Has a short flat swing through the ball with a line drive approach. Made consistent hard contact in BP with a max exit velo of 86.3 mph and a max distance of 286 feet.
5-9 155 pound frame with present strength. Hits from an open stance and uses a medium controlled leg lift and stride to get to a strong hitting position. Has a short swing with a whole field approach. Showed a max exit velo of 88.1 mph on the day with a max distance of 284 feet. Showed good footwork and arm strength behind the plate with good throws down to 2B.
