PBR Future Games: Team Wisconsin Game Three Recap
August 1, 2021
Team Wisconsin wrapped up the 2021 Future Games with a 10-4 loss to Team Indiana, finishing the week with a 2-1 record.
C Evan Gustafson (Altoona, 2023) paced the Wisconsin crew offensively, as the left-handed hitting backstop continued an impressive all-around week. He drove two runners home in his first at-bat and cranked a home run in his second, one that comfortably traveled over the right-center wall.

Strong 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. Adept defender behind the plate, quick release. Swings it too, launches this over the RF wall for a #PBRBombSquad. #PBRFG21 | @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/36chvgx0eZ
OF/CIF Quinn Falish (De Pere, 2023) jumped on one early in his first at-bat of the day, barreling it deep into the right-center gap for a double. Falish has worked that way all week and he also pitched, running his fastball up to 87 mph.

Runs well for his size too; 6.73 runner in the 60. #PBRFG21 pic.twitter.com/MakFsUC9I3
OF/1B Caleb Karll (Madison West, 2023), OF Ryan Drumm (Edgewood, 2023), and C Dominic Kibler (New Berlin West, 2023) all had hits.
Plate coverage and bat strength have shown as Caleb Karll’s (Madison West, 2023) best tools this week. He went down and got this pitch, pulled to shallow LF for his latest RBI hit.#PBRFG21 | #TeamWisconsin https://t.co/LD9xArJaDc pic.twitter.com/7m7KUFYjDY

On the mound, RHP Thomas Burns (Hortonville, 2023) continues to cement himself as an upper tier arm in Wisconsin. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Burns touched the 90 mph mark for the second time this week, reaching back for a 91 mph fastball in the sixth inning yesterday.

6-foot-3, 180-pound frame; high waist, projects. Threw almost exclusively FB at 87-90, T91 mph. #PBRFG21 | @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/v462fOqfrd
RHP Noah Dreier (Brookfield Central, 2023) started the game for Team Wisconsin on the mound and retired the side in order. Dreier’s first fastball of the inning registered at 83 mph, but he essentially sat at 86 mph throughout after that pitch. The separator for Dreier continues to be his breaking ball; a pitch he’s shown supreme confidence in with natural downward action and an aptitude to spin.
