Future Games - Day 2 Quick Hits - PBR SC

1st PLAYERS FROM SOUTH CAROLINA SUIT UP IN PBR FUTURE GAMES
There were multiple records set on day one of the PBR future games with massive exit velos and lightening quick 60 times going up consistently throughout the day. With an action packed day 1 in the rearview mirror it was time to focus on day two. This was the first chance the players had to show their skills in live game play and multiple players attracted scouts attention with big velocities and great offensive performances.
At the 6:30 night cap all eyes were focused on the boys from the Carolinas as they battled Team Florida. The first ever Team Carolinas group pounded out 10 hits and 11 runs in route to an 11 -4 victory over the players from the Sunshine state.
There was also another first tonight; during the 6th inning, Jacob Watkins (Branchville, LHP 2020) toed the rubber to become the first player from the state of South Carolina to participate in the Future Games event. The lefty scattered 3 runs over 2 innings of work and is scheduled to throw again on Saturday.

LHP with a compact frame, thick lower half and strong through the shoulders. Full arm action out of the glove with a high 3/4 slot that follows the lower half down the mound. FB 79-82 T83 with arm side run. Breaking ball in a 10/4 slot.
