QUOTE FROM THE COACH:
Our staff is excited to seeing our guys get back to being consistently competitive on a night in and night out basis. We should be a strong pitching and defense team, with speed and veteran presences offensively.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Landon Fowler - RHP/1B/3B, 2025, Clemson. Has been on PBR radar for a while. Big physically righty who has been up to 91/92. Just started to pitch last year and is starting to figure it out. Secondary stuff has looked much improved in preseason. Has added good weight and strength. Look for a jump in offensive production as well.
Eli Hudgins - SS/RHP, 2024, Army. No stranger to PBR. Has been impactful since FR year. Big time athlete. Will start the year injured. May not have him back at all. Goal is to at least have his bat by 2nd half of season.
Braden Williams - OF/1B, 2024, Mars Hill. Has been on PBR scene. Good athlete & speed. Hit over .400 last year. Will also start the year injured, but should be back sooner than Hudgins.
Maddox Robinson - OF, 2024, Limestone - Burst on to the scene last year and was offensive MVP. Led team in RBI while hitting over .350. Strong arm in the OF and a steady presence in lineup. Will be looked to to pick up slack from injured players.
Cotes Reid - OF, 2024, SWU - Good defender with solid speed and ability to use whole field at the plate. Good control of the zone and draws a lot of walks. Entering 3rd year as started. Will be counted on to increase offensive production this year.
Evan Moon - C/RHP, 2024, USC Sumter - entering 4th year as a starter. Rock solid behind the plate. Played through wrist injury last season that effected offensive production. Looking for a jump in that category. On the mound, has thrown a lot of innings for us over the years and will be counted on again. Up to 81/82 with good feel for slider and throws a lot of strikes.
Jack Hunsinger - INF, 2024, uncommitted - 3rd year as a starter. Has played all 3 positions for us. Good athlete, also starting WR for football team. Solid speed and good feel for barrel, and good baserunner. Sparked our run 2 years ago with scrappy play, scoring a lot of runs. Great hands in the field can attack grounds balls at all angles. Will be a mainstay in the infield and will be counted on for increased offensive production. Would be a great D3 player, looking for a spot for him.
Blane Jordan - RHP, 2025, uncommitted - Has pitched a ton for us the past 2 years, starting with lots of playoff innings as a freshman. Moved into a region starter role last year and logged 44 innings with a 1.71 ERA. Good athlete, high pitchability that can throw the kitchen sink at you. Very competitive on the mound and has been up to 83/84. Added good weight this offseason, look for an increase in stuff and will continue to be a staple for us on the mound.
Chance Kennedy - SS/RHP, 2025, uncommitted - Played short when Hudgins pitched last year so will be counted on to fill that spot. Super athlete, probably best one on the team and fastest. Speed plays really well on defense & offensively. Bat will determine where he projects college wise, because he is solid in the field. Good enough arm strength to hold down SS. Will also see some time on the mound this year, was up to 82/83 this summer.
