Quick Hitters - Pitchers

Ryland Paxton, 2026, RHP

6-2 160 pound long and loose frame.  Right handed pitch throws from a low ¾ slot with a short arm swing in the back.  Adds some deception on his delivery while hiding the ball from the hitters.  Fastball was 77-80 mph while showing the ability to move it around the zone for strikes.  Also spinning a good breaking ball at 70-72 mph and a change up at 72-73 mph.  Big time projection for this young arm.

John Nypaver, 2027, 1B/LHP

5-10 145 pound long and lean frame.  Left handed arm with a low 3/r arm slot and a short quick arm.  Fastball was 74-77 T78 mph with some armside run and sink to it, while showing the ability to fill up the zone with it.  Spun a good curveball with depth to it while also showing the ability to move that itch around the zone for strikes along with out of the zone for chases.

John Compton, 2026, INF/RHP

5-10 155 pound frame with good athleticism.  Smooth controlled arm action from a high ¾ slot with some length in the back.  Attacked hitters and competed on the mound while showing good mound presence.  Fastball was 78-82 mph and could move the pitch in and out along with up in the zone.  Threw a big bending curveball that was 60-66 mph.  CB had really good depth to it and a hard pitch for hitters to square up.

Jack Stepp, 2026, 1B/LHP

5-11 165 pound athletic frame with good strength.  Left hander with a short quick arm action from a low ¾ slot.  Really did a great job of locating fastball in and out of the zone at 79-81 mph while showing great feel for a good slider at 71-73 mph.  Slider could be used to steal strikes early in the count or as a put away pitch late.  Mixed in a few change ups in the outing with the CH sitting around 71 mph with some sink and run to it.  Big time feel to pitch for this young athlete.

Isaiah Posey, 2027, INF/RHP

Long lean, very athletic 6-3 165 pound frame with lots of growth left as he matures.  Long smooth arm action from a ¾ slot with plenty of whip in his arm.  Showed an easy arm action while fastball was 78-82 mph.  Mixed in a good slider that had good late bite to it.  Big time projection in his frame and arm as he continues to grow and mature.

Logan McGarity, 2026, INF/RHP

5-7 145 pound frame.    Longer, smooth, and controlled arm action from a ¾ slot.  On the mound came out attacking hitters while filling up the zone with all pitches.  Fastball was 77-79 mph on the night while showing the ability to move it around the zone for strikes.  Able to drop in his curve ball for strikes and bounce it in the dirt with 2 strikes to put hitters away.  CB was 64-66 mph.  Threw 3 scoreless innings to close out the game.

Chance Johnson, 2026, INF/RHP

5-8 150 pound frame with good strength and athleticism.  Showed athleticism on the mound with short clean arm action from a high ¾ slot.  Ran the FB up to 78 locating in the zone really well while attacking hitters.  Able to move the fastball round the zone while getting swings and misses with the pitch.

Parker McGee, 2026, INF/RHP
