2018 FUTURE GAMES - TEAM Connecticut vs Team MASSACHUSETTS DAY 4 RECAP

The Arms
Nigel Belgrave RHP / 3B / Auburn, MA / 2020Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 4
Game Notes: A lean 6-foot-3 right-hander with a clean arm action and plus hand speed, Belgrave is still coming into his own and generated some serious buzz, showcasing velocity, feel for spin, and control of his pitches. Running the fastball up to 90 MPH and sitting consistently in the 86-89 MPH range, Belgrave attacked hitters, challenging them in the zone. Relying on his curveball between 71-74 MPH as a putaway pitch, Belgrave worked this one-two combination to great effect striking out four batters in two frames. Showed a raw changeup in warmups at 77-79 MPH which could take a step forward this fall and winter with more refinement. |
