Louis Philippe Langevin RHP / 1B / la Seigneurie, QC / 2021Report: Langevin is an uncommitted 2021 right-hander who has the ability to throw strikes with three pitches and be a successful starter at the next level. We first saw Langevin at the Future Games last year and he worked 3 innings and ran his fastball up to 88 while showing feel for spin and a changeup. Langevin has been up to 90 this fall and added size and strength, now 6-foot-1, 210-pounds. The curveball will be the big separator for Langevin as when it’s on and sharp with higher velocity, it works as a potential out pitch that he can use when ahead in the count. Future: We really like the way the arm works as it is loose and easy, getting out front from a ¾ slot with minimal effort and a controlled delivery. We believe there is still more room to firm up the frame and add strength, and do not be surprised if Langevin comes out firing bullets in 2021. A right-hander with a track record and is trending in the right direction.
