Looking back at the past week for Prep Baseball, the class of 2024 rankings see an update with plenty of risers and even more newcomers. One program reclaims the No. 1 spot in the National High School Rankings, one South Carolina prospect slugs his way to National Player of the Week honors, uncommitted spotlights, trending and more.
NATIONAL NEWS
2024 National Rankings
On Tuesday, March 9, Prep Baseball updated its 2024 National Prospect rankings seeing two prospects jump at least 30 spots into the top-10 along with a 2024 Super 60 standout soaring 183 spots into the top-30. The rankings also saw 19 new additions. See who rose and who debuted on the updated list.
National HS Rankings
On Monday, April 8, Prep Baseball updated its National High School Rankings where one squad reclaims the No. 1 spot with one previously unranked program entering the top-10 and 14 more cracking the list. With State Power 25s and Scout Blogs, see the full updated rankings.
Player of the Week
April’s first National Player of the Week hails from the state of Hanahan HS (Hanahan, SC), where they came out victorious in their own invitational for the first time in 54 years. Leading the charge was Sterling Coaxum from the class of 2026 who propelled Hanahan with three home runs, two of which were grand slams. + From Prep Baseball Maryland’s Scouting Director Jamie Naill Jr, with spring coverage across Maryland and Delaware picking up with the high school season, see which uncommitted prospects are must follows in the classes of 2024 and 2025.

Monday, April 1, Vandalia-Butler’s head coach Trent Dues picked up his 600th coaching win. After a rocky first season in 1995, Dues led the Aviators to 11 straight league titles. Senior Writer Bruce Hefflinger tells the story of Dues’ journey to win 600.
