Updated Class of 2012 rankings

The Class of 2012 has taken center stage over the last two months. We?ve seen countless players throughout this heavy recruitment period, and have witnessed many players? stock climb in the last few months.
While there are several new names among our top 150 list, the head of the class remains intact for the most part. Marian Central LHP Brett Lilek, who recently committed to Arizona State, leads the Class of 2012 again. Following closely behind Lilek are RHP/SS Ryan Koziol, Oak Forest RHP Kyle Funkhouser, Highland Park C Jason Goldstein, Mundelein LHP Ryan Borucki, Simeon C Blake Hickman, Jacobs RHP Henry Gigeous, Westminster Christian RHP Kevin Elder, Oswego East RHP Matt Schultz and Westminster Christian LHP/RHP Ryan Perez.
Schultz is the biggest riser in the class, as the strong-bodied right-hander returned from an injury with serious velocity, climbing as high as 95 mph. Other significant risers include Prospect RHP/3B Jack Landwehr, who earned first-team All-State honors, St. Rita C/SS Zach Soria, Glenbrook South 1B Zach Jones, Prairie Ridge C Matt Krenz, Galesburg C Chad Johnson, Mt. Zion RHP Nick Stroud, Vernon Hills C Chris Marras, Moline 3B Tim Wages, Fremd OF Josh Jyawook and Glenbrook North RHP Peter Resnick, to name a few.
