Uncommitted Prospect Watch: RHP J.T. Brubaker (Tecumseh)
September 28, 2011
The 6-foot-2, 165-pound right-handed pitching prospect has seen his recruiting process heat up after fall outings, which included a smooth and easy 85-87 mph fastball coupled with a sharp and effective curveball.
Having a father who played professional baseball, Brubaker understands the ins and outs of the games. He notes, “He has helped me in every aspect of the game, but mostly telling me to give it your all and go all out on the field.”
When it comes to the recruiting process, he notes, “I am in the process of talking to coaches and scheduling visits.”
In particular, he has been communicating with Akron, Urbana, Ohio State, Marietta, Wittenberg, and Bellarmine (KY).
Brubaker, who carries a 3.4 accumulative GPA, is looking for a school that will provide “a good education and a school that fits me.”
This past spring, Brubaker compiled a 6-1 record. Over the course of 47 innings, he struck out 43 batters and compiled a 2.09 ERA.
