Kevin Kline, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound RHP from Patrick Henry, has verbally committed to the University of Toledo. The athletic right-hander throws a consistent 84-87 mph fastball with significant arm side run from his ¾ arm slot. If he continues to develop and refine his off speed pitches, he will surely make an impact for the Rockets. With a large frame and all the physical-tools, Kline is one of the most projectable pitchers in the Class of 2012.
Alex Corna, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound IF/OF prospect from Lakota East, has verbally committed to Ohio University. After anchoring the middle of the order for Lakota East?s Division I state championship run, Corna is capping off his junior campaign by committing to Ohio University. Recognized as one of the top left-handing hitting prospects in the state, Corna was recruited by many Ohio collegiate programs. He follows in the footsteps of his older brother, David, who will be a senior outfielder at The Ohio State University next spring.
Justin Wagler, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound RHP/IF prospect from Uniontown-Lake, has verbally committed to Kent State University. He follows in the footsteps of his older brother Chad who pitched for the Golden Flashes and later was selected in the 22nd round of the 2006 draft by the Houston Astros. The younger Wagler is an athletic prospect, who has excelled at the plate and on the mound. He was one of the top performers in nearly every offensive category in the Stark and Summit county area. In addition, he throws a loose and easy mid to high 80?s fastball.
