Narrowing an event that is already built with supreme talent is like trying to separate the best Rhodes Scholars from each other; they are all good or else they would not be there. Each of the participants at the 22nd annual Super 60 in Chicago were greeted to the eyes of more than 100 MLB scouts and decision makers, and are likely to have them trailing their spring performances as well. In eyeing the future, as well as presenting a look at the performances at the event, below are 9 impact arms from the prestigious event along with five sleepers.

Kash Mayfield LHP / OF / Elk City, OK / 2024A bit worn from the spring workload, Mayfield was unable to assert himself as an impact arm over the summer, but asserted himself in Chicago with a flawless bullpen that promised the upside of a future starter. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound southpaw confidently strode to the mound before hushing the 100+ scouts in attendance with a 94 mph fastball driven to the glove side for a strike. Loose and polished with a fierce look, the arm worked freely through a fuller stroke with a semi-hook before quickly delivering to a near ¾ slot with quality extension. Dominating the bottom of the zone with a fastball that featured some late arm side life, his ability to throw both a well-profiled changeup (80-81) and lateral slider (77-78) for strikes came nearly as easy, and each garnered at least average grades with a chance to tick up (in a hurry) this spring. Working with a crossbody step that helped aid in the late life, Mayfield was perpetually on time with a smooth delivery in dishing out a calm, steady flow of electricity. Should an already solid set of secondary offerings continue an upward journey, look for Mayfield to jump (quickly) into the Day 1 conversation as his breakout national performance in front of decision makers from all teams, at the Super 60, is not soon to be forgotten.
