Another junior prospect is off the board as Marist LHP Mike Hearne verbally commits to Notre Dame. Hearne, a 6-foot, 185-pound left-hander, posted a 4-5 record for Marist last season as a sophomore. Hearne, who also batted .313 last spring, features a low-to-mid-80s fastball and good command of three pitches.

Will Fisher, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound left-handed hitting 3B from Havana HS, has committed to Oakton CC. Fisher certainly made a significant impact in his first year for the Ducks after transferring from Lincoln Community HS. The strong-bodied Fisher batted .506 with 11 home runs, 7 doubles and 50 RBI. Fisher also led the 17-9 Ducks with 13 stolen bases. 

Mike Monaghan, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound 3B from Geneva HS, has committed to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Monaghan batted .350 as a junior for Geneva.
