PBSCCS partners with Prep Baseball as its official strength and conditioning coach of the '24 All-American Game
August 15, 2024
The 2024 Prep Baseball All-American Game is adding another world-class partner to its second annual event in the Professional Baseball Strength & Conditioning Coaches Society (PBSCCS), a nonprofit organization led by current and former strength and conditioning coaches of Major League Baseball.
PBSCCS and Prep Baseball will collaborate in an effort to reduce the risk of injury as well as enhance athletic performance by providing baseball-specific strength, conditioning, and wellness education to our players and their parents, starting next month in Miami, the site of the second annual Prep Baseball All-American Game. There, PBSCCS will lead a specialized warm-up routine during Prep Baseball’s workout day on Friday, Sept. 13, followed by an informative session on the latest evidence-based practices in strength and conditioning. This initiative underscores Prep Baseball’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive development experience that prioritizes player health, safety, and peak performance, directed by the sport’s experts in these fields.
"Our mission has always been to prepare athletes for the next level, and working with the PBSCCS allows us to integrate the best strength and conditioning practices into our programs," said Sean Duncan, Prep Baseball President. "We’re thrilled to offer our players access to the same high-level expertise that powers the players who attend our events, beginning with the very best in the nation who are headed to Miami next month."
PBSCCS has been at the forefront of strength and conditioning in baseball since its founding in 1996. With a mission to provide state-of-the-art educational materials and practices, the organization is recognized as the global authority in the field, delivering safe, evidence-based, and effective information to professionals, collegiate, high school, and youth athletes.
This partnership is aiming to set a new standard in baseball training, ensuring that every athlete at Prep Baseball events has the tools and knowledge to excel on and off the field.
“We are excited to partner with Prep Baseball moving forward," said Brandon McDaniel, PBSCCS President and Los Angeles Dodgers VP of Player Performance. "We are grateful for the opportunity and platform to help educate the future generation of baseball players about healthy, safe and innovative training principles that will help enhance their baseball careers.”
At next month's All-American Game, the classes of 2025 and 2026 will face off on Saturday, Sept. 14 at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins. Both teams will participate in a workout day at the ballpark on Friday, Sept. 13, where PBSCCS will lead its strength and conditioning program, followed by its educational session.
