PBR Indiana recently was able to catch up with the 13th ranked prospect in the state of Indiana, Troy Kuhn. Troy recently verballed to Ohio State. Kuhn should make a major impact with his bat and could potnetially be one of the top offensive hitters in the Big Ten. Click here to read more

 

PBR: What schools were you considering?

 

Troy: My top schools were Indiana, Ohio State, Kentucky, and Western Kentucky.

PBR: Why did you choose Ohio State?

 

Troy:   I really felt a connection with the coaching staff and their program. I also loved the campus and facilities. I felt like it was a place I could fully develop as a player.

PBR: Was it important to stay close to home?

 

Troy: No not really, but the fact that it is only 3 hours from my home is really nice.

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

 

Troy: I have the ability to make an immediate impact my freshman year but nothing is guaranteed. I just have to keep working hard.

 

PBR: What were your expectations about recruiting heading into the summer?

 

Troy: I was very excited after seeing my brother go through the recruiting process last year and I knew that with the Indiana Bulls I would have a lot of college exposure. 

 

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you
will help Ohio State?

 

Troy: My bat has always been one of my biggest strengths so I hope to make a big impact at the plate.

 

PBR: How has travel baseball helped your development as a player?

 

Troy:  I’ve been with the Indiana Bulls since I was 13 and I’ve established a very close relationship with the coaching staff and also the players. They are a great organization and I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for me and my family.

 

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

 

Troy: My Dad and my brother, Max. They both pushed me throughout the years to bring out the best player in me.

 

 

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Indiana? 

Troy: Dillon Peters. He has command of all his pitches and he is a great competitor.
