Nick McCarty, RHP, Cathedral HS, 2012: McCarty, 12th ranked prospect in 2012 class, is an athletic 6-foot-3 inch, 175 pound right handed pitcher from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. During a PBR showcase event this past winter McCarty showed a consistent low-to mid 80?s fastball, touching 88 mph. He also possesses a solid 68-70 mph slider and 73-75 mph changeup. His arm action is fluid and has movement on most of his pitches. McCarty has not lost a game while pitching at Cathedral HS during his last two seasons.
Connor Hale, RHP, Brebeuf HS, 2012: Hale is a 6-foot-3 inch, 160 pound right handed pitcher from Brebeuf Jesuit High School in Indianapolis. On the mound he displays a fastball consistently in the mid-80?s, with a confirmed reading of 93 mph this summer. He also possesses a breaking ball in the mid-70?s. Currently Hale has a projectable body with long arms and legs with plenty of room to fill out, giving him the ability to become a dominant pitcher at the next level. He is a converted catcher, with this year being his first full year of pitching.
