More Prospects Make Commitments

Vincennes University landed two more prospects with commitments from Mitchell HS RHP Cole Hardman and Washington HS LHP Alex Kohler. Hardman is 5-foot-11 inches with a fastball in the low-80?s. Kohler is a 5-foot-11 inch crafty lefty with three plus off speed pitches; curve ball, slider, and changeup.
Shane Bryant, a 6-foot-2, 175 pound right handed pitcher from McCutcheon HS, has committed to Indiana Wesleyan. Bryant is a top 100 ranked player in the class of 2011. He has a projectable pitchers body with long arms and legs, as well as loose arm action. Bryant possesses a low 80?s fastball with good run, and plus changeup.
Jake Hayden from Concordia Lutheran has committed to play at Jackson Community College in Jackson, MI. Hayden plays for the summer travel team, Summit City Sluggers, where he helped lead the team to the CABA World Series last summer. Jake was instrumental in the team?s success, finishing 7-3 on the mound with a 1.41 ERA, and led the team in innings pitched.
Trevor Kim, a 5-foot 10, 160 pound MIF from Anderson HS, has committed to play at Manchester College. Kim has impressive speed running a 6.97 60. At the plate, he shows quick bat speed, and the ability to hit for average.
Ryan Rickert, a 6-foot-1, 160 pound right handed pitcher from Woodland HS, has committed to play at Kaskaskia Community College in Illinois. Rickert is also a member of the Summit City Sluggers.
Scott Haag, a 6-foot, 160 pound right handed pitcher from Northrop HS in Ft. Wayne, has committed to play at Southeastern Illinois College. Haag is a top 100 ranked player in the class of 2011. He has a fastball consistently in the mid-80?s, topping out a 88 mph. Haag also throws two off speed pitches for strikes, a big hammer curveball at 68-70 mph, and a plus change up at 72-73 mph.
Tyler Owensby, a 6-foot 3, 180 pound right handed pitcher from Brownsburg HS, has committed to play at Wabash College.
