-No. 2 Francis Howell (23-3) bounced back from yesterday?s defeat, beating Parkway West 10-8. Gordie Gundaker went 3-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the Howell offense. Brett Graves also contributed with two RBIs, and Brett Peel went 3-for-5, with three stolen bases.
-No. 5 Parkway South (19-3) lost a non-conference game to Kirkwood (8-11) on Friday, 8-7. The Patriots have now dropped three of their last four games.
-For the second straight day, Lindbergh (14-7) upset No. 6 Oakville (17-6), 8-4 in eight innings. Sean Murphy led Lindbergh?s offense going 3-for-5 with a homerun and two RBIs. Jordan Murphy went seven innings, giving up nine hits and four runs, striking out eight batters.
-Republic upset No. 11 Branson, 5-4.
-No. 16 Borgia (16-4) hammered Warrenton, 10-0.
-No. 18 Crystal City (14-4) def. St. Vincent, 5-0.
-No. 19 Pacific (16-2) def. Sullivan, 11-1.
-No. 20 Farmington def. Park Hills Central, 1-0.
-Hillcrest def. West Plains, 5-4. Levi Skinner powered Hillcrest?s offense with three RBIs.
-Strafford def. Skyline, 6-2. Connor Wilson and Anthony Peters both went 2-for-3 to lead the offense. Zach Yarberry struck out seven batters over six innings.
-Kennedy HS def. Whitfield, 7 to 4.
-Francis Howell Central (18-5) def. Ladue (14-3), 7-6.
