Florida's Preseason Classic: Dispatch

Cruising the I-95 corridor of Florida’s east coast, the destination was always the 7th Annual Prep Baseball Florida Preseason Kickoff. An event that has jump started the spring of future first-round picks like RHP Carter Stewart (2018), RHP Brennan Malone (2019), Zac Veen (2020), Andy Painter (2021), Elijah Green (2022), Brandon Barriera (2022), Adrian Santana (2023), and Aidan Miller (2023), this early spring trip is the perfect way to start the march to the MLB Draft, and this quick, two-day look was no different as prospects from multiple classes battled to grab the spotlight.
The ‘Now’ & The ‘Next’
A rare look at a Panhandle team heading to the east coast of Florida, the Lincoln Trojans rolled off the bus for a team workout in Fort Pierce looking like a state contender on the gridiron. Led by the hulking presence of a ‘Darkhorse 1st Round’ candidate, 3B Myles Bailey (2024; Florida State commit), the team mirrored a Division-I college program in uniform, and the play on the field was not far behind.
