Prep Baseball is taking the talent to South Beach.

After the successful launch of the inaugural Prep Baseball All-American Game in 2023, the second annual game is coming to Miami on Sept. 14 – and it promises to be bigger and better. One thing won’t change: The All-American Game will still feature the best high school baseball talent in the nation, with the top high school seniors taking on the best junior prospects to see which class reigns supreme.

The classes of 2025 and 2026 will face off on Saturday, Sept. 14 at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins. Both teams will participate in a workout day at the ballpark on Friday, Sept. 13, as part of a full weekend of activities.

CLASS OF 2026: AAG SPOTLIGHT

Scouting Report

5/16/24

Illinois commit. Currently ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 13 in the country. Bass stands in at a lean 6-foot, 171-pounds with room to fill out the frame, and started at shortstop and batted fifth for Glenbrook North. Defensively he looked the part with his actions and overall feel for the game. Bass showed an advanced feel for the glove with how soft and reliable his hands played, while showing a feel for an internal clock; trusting his strong and accurate arm across the diamond to make the necessary throws. He also made a couple advanced plays for his age moving to his left up the middle. From the right side of the plate, he has a calm swagger about him in the box with minimal pre-pitch movement, while maintaining some looseness in the hands. His hands work direct to the ball with an uphill bat path. He finished the game 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.

2/24/24

The top sophomore in the state, and No. 14 overall in the country, INF Ethan Bass (Glenbrook North, 2026; Illinois commit) has tools across the board. He had eight batted balls come off his barrel at 90+ mph in BP, peaking at 95.6 mph, and his furthest batted ball traveled 346 feet. Additionally, Bass ran a 6.92 60, jumped 32.5” in our vertical jump test, and he topped at 89 mph across the infield.

2/24/24

MIF Ethan Bass (Glenbrook North, 2026; Illinois commit) continues to look the part as a premier middle infield prospect in the state. Currently ranked No. 1 in Illinois and No. 14 in the country, Bass was all over the barrel throughout his round, averaging 89 mph for his EV with a max of 95.6 mph, reaching up to 347’ for his max distance. He showed his usual athletic actions and soft hands on the infield, topping out at 89 mph across the diamond. His pure athleticism is hard to ignore as well, cruising to a 6.87 in the 60 with a max vertical of 32.9”.
